Chapter 89
Pamela intentionally cried louder for Jessica to see.
"Compensate?" Jessica was puzzled and thought, "Do I need to pay her money? It can't be right?"
"Yeah. You have to compensate me by letting me stay with you here tonight. If not, I'll keep crying. It hurts. It's so painful," sobbed Pamela.
She might just be acting cute and wanting to stay there, but it sounded like someone was bullying Jessica in Trevor's ears.
"This was utterly unacceptable. Who dares to lay a hand on my woman?" he thought.
Trevor angrily walked out and ordered someone to kick open the door.
Jessica and Pamela who were playing around on the couch froze when they saw the furious man at the door.
"What... is going on?" they wondered.
"Mr. Gulliford, is there something wrong?"
Jessica frowned slightly and was somewhat upset.
"What's wrong? Playing around with my colleague in the room made him angry?" she thought.
"You all are making too much noise," mumbled Trevor softly as he felt extremely awkward.
"What can I say? I can't say that I came in to save my wife," he thought to himself.
"Sorry for disturbing you, Mr. Gulliford," apologized Pamela in a hurry as she did not dare to offend the boss.
"Okay."
Trevor nonchalantly turned to leave and Jessica's brows knitted tightly. "Does he need to kick open the door because of small things like this?" she mused.
"Jessica, could Mr. Gulliford be here to look for you? He left because he saw I'm here, and it's inconvenient."
Pamela made a wild guess and frowned slightly. Her slender fingers gripped the glass, and her eyes squinted.
"Don't spew nonsense. I don't have that great of an ability."
Jessica changed into pajamas and lay on the bed.
"Are you sleeping in the master or guest bedroom tonight?"Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
"I'm sleeping with you, of course. Haha. Here I come." Pamela pounced on her, and they started playing around again.
Trevor, who was next door, smiled when he heard Jessica's laughter.
It had been a long time since he heard her laughter that he had almost forgotten how melodic it was.
Jessica and Pamela did not fool
around for too long before they felt
asleep Trevor lay on the bed and recalled the time he pinned his wife to the wall, dozing off.
Both the Jessica from the past and the Jessica with a new face were still his Jessica.
The following day, it was already bright outside when Jessica opened her eyes. Pamela had disappeared. "That's weird."
Jessica sleepily rubbed her eyes and got off the bed. Her eyes were full of puzzlement.
"Why didn't Pamela wake me up? This girl is not loyal enough," she thought.
Jessica grabbed the glass by the bed and took a sip.
She walked to the living room in her pajamas and saw a person on the couch when she pushed open the door.
The person had short hair, so it was a man. He was wearing athletic clothes and had a sense of youthfulness to him.
"Who is this? Did he enter the wrong room?" wondered Jessica.
The man turned to look when he heard footsteps behind him.
Jessica was shocked when she saw that familiar face.
"This is Trevor? The fact that he's wearing athletic clothes would
probably make headlines. However,
he really looked like an energetice
university student when he's
athletic clothes as opposed to his usual strict manner," she thought.
"What is it?"
Trevor's lips curled into a smile when he saw that she was stunned.
"Jessica, are you surprised? Don't I look young, energetic, and handsome?" he thought. "Nothing."
Jessica lowered her head and
noticed that she was still in her pajamas. She quickly turned around and dashed back into the master bedroom.
Trevor did not say anything and lifted the coffee on the table, taking a sip.
He had seen her without clothes let alone pajamas.
Jessica walked out once again after she changed. A hint of unhappiness flashed across her eyes when she saw Trevor on the couch.
"Mr. Gulliford, I think it's inappropriate for you to come into your subordinate's room without knocking?"
