Chapter Sixty One

"What do you think mom? That I didn’t forgive him? How can I not? He is my father, but I can never

forget the day he snatched my love from me." Irtaza whispers to her mother.

Not able to bear anymore, Irtaza marches out of the room, when a tinkle of bangles make him look up

to see his beloved wife standing there.

And one look at her face was enough to tell Irtaza that she heard everything.

Mushk was going upstairs to call Irtaza as she wanted to meet her brother, when loud voices coming

out of the study stopped her.

She was baffled hearing those words, but one word stuck in her mind.

She didn't know how to respond, her mind was blank. Hearing footsteps coming close to her, she knew

it was Irtaza, she kept looking at him who was smiling at her, but he wasn't able to hide the emotions

swarming in his eyes.

Fear and nervousness.

Fear of rejection and nervousness of what her reaction will be.

"Uh..I-I was thinking to visit my brother before going to the court, will you please take me there?"

Mushk whispers to him, lost in his beautiful onyx eyes.

wildly.

Irtaza visibly relaxed and nodded.

"Sure! Get ready and come down, I'll be waiting in the car." Saying this, he kisses her forehead and

skips down the stairs, while Mushk kept looking at his back till it disappeared from her vision.

A small smile crept her face and she could feel warmth all over her, just by one peck on her forehead.

"Maybe, he is the one." Her heart whispers to her.

Smiling, she gets ready and soon they are on their way to hospital.

Nervousness crept in her, as this was the first time she was visiting her brother after 4 months and

getting married to her cousin.

As Mustafa was recovering and his chances of getting up were near, they shifted him to a general ward

with a separate room.

While Maham was still kept under observation.

Entering his room, she moves towards her brother and sits near him, kissing his forehead. Irtaza stood

outside, knowing she needed privacy.

"Bhai, I'm so so scared. What if Zohan wins the case?" Mushk whispers to her brother, eyes tearful.

"Oh lord..Mustafa, I know you're able to hear me, please come back. I'm really scared about kids."

Mushk was full on sobbing mode now.

Even the thought of kids being taken away from her scared her to death.

"Anyways! You always told me to think wise and good will happen, and you know I got married... Again!

To.... Irtaza." She hesitatingly tells him, as if he was awake.

Irtaza comes inside and smiles at the duo, with Mushk continuously chattering about Murtuza and

Mujtaba.

"Come on Mushk, it's time." Irtaza tells her, who tightens her hold on his brother's hand.
