Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3207

Chapter 3207

In Satbury, Austin was sitting in the kitchen and reading the news on his phone after serving all his dishes.

He was waiting for the outcome.

He had been busy for the entire evening.

To be precise, he had been preparing for dinner since early morning.

Isabella was finally back when evening rolled around.

After a moment's wait, the food Austin made was served one after another.

He did not need to head out.

Isabella would only call for him if she was satisfied with all the dishes and wanted to meet him.

In the meantime, Austin was to wait in the kitchen and only leave after all the members of the O'Connor family retired for the day.

He was confident in his cooking, but Isabella did not ask to meet him even after the sky had turned dark. Although he was still reading the news calmly, he was also feeling a little nervous. Austin did not want to do the interview three times as Mr. Abbot did.

Mr. Abbot was unable to achieve a satisfactory result even after so many years. If his attempt failed again, he said he would never return because he had lost all confidence and was getting old. Meanwhile, the O'Connors had put down their utensils.

Isabella was wiping her mouth.

Her mother, Delphine, asked, "Isa, what do you think about this applicant's food?"

Before Isabella answered, Delphine added, "I think he's fine. Let's hire him."

Louis was leaning back against his chair and touching his bulging stomach. He said, "I'm filled to the brim, Isa. The food was very delicious. I haven't stuffed myself like this in so long." Isabella flicked her brother's stomach lightly. She smiled and replied, "You've never been starved before. Why did you eat like this was your last supper?

"You can go for a walk later to ease digestion."

She touched Louis's stomach again, which had turned round from all the food.

Her cousin Philip was no different.

The two boys were about the same age. The former was six years old, while the latter was five. They were each other's playmates.

"Come with me, Isa."

Louis thought Isabella had nothing to do since she had come home for dinner. He immediately held her arm and looked toward her with his huge, gleaming eyes. It was difficult to turn him down.

"Louis, Isa has to head out later. I'll walk with you and get some cool air too."

Delphine immediately told Louis not to interfere with Isabella's work.

The O'Connor family had more females than males. Delphine was old when she gave birth to Louis, who was a result of an unexpected pregnancy. He was greatly adored as he was the first boy of his generation.

Unfortunately, Louis was too young, and Hadrian O'Connor was getting old and weak to manage a huge corporation. There was no choice but to let Isabella take up the heavy responsibility.

Delphine knew how busy Hadrian used to be.

Ever since Isabella took over the family business, she sacrificed a lot and was even busier.

Delphine felt sorry for her daughter.

Louis pouted and looked toward Isabella. "I want Isa to go with me. She works every day. She already leaves home every time I wake up in the morning. She doesn't even come back when I go to bed. Isa hasn't played with me for a long time." NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

Louis liked his sister more than his parents.

However, he feared her the most as well.

Philip was scared of Isabella too.

Although she was not as cold as Edith, they were still afraid of her.

Isabella chuckled. "I can only play with you a few days later. I still have some work to handle tonight. I'll be heading out soon.”
