Chapter 3165
Chapter 3165
“This isn't something that takes a day or two. Don’t worry or overthink. I'm no longer an impulsive young girl. If the situation is disadvantageous for me, I'll retreat immediately. I won't let it affect our family's image or Dean.
“It's late. Please rest up. I feel full from the bowl of soup, so I'll go on a stroll before sleeping to aid digestion.”
After speaking, Rhea stood up and walked outside.
Old Mrs. Torres said, “You've been working the entire day, Rhea. Don't go too far, and turn in early. You have to head out early again tomorrow.”
Rhea had countless meetings and documents to handle every day. Managing a company by herself was exhausting.
Old Mr. and Mrs. Torres dared not call her during the day unless it was urgent. She simply had no time to answer calls.
Even if Dean called her, she would say she was busy and hung up.
“I know. Please go and rest.”
Rhea walked out of the house.
Old Mr. and Mrs. Torres watched her leave. After exchanging glances, they sighed and went upstairs.
Rhea was strolling in the garden. She could only relax her tense body when it was late and quiet with no one else around.
She recalled when she and Victor often held hands and walked in the garden.
Now though, she was the only person left from that memory.
“You promised to grow old with me, yet you left me. How could you break your promise?
“Even if I find another man, I won't be able to fall in love with him. You've captured my heart, and it died when you did.
“You're so cruel. You abandoned me, Dean, and also your parents.
“I just want someone to lean on, honey. Duncan is suitable for me and our family. If you can hear me from heaven, please take pity on us and help Duncan and me get together. Make Liberty leave Duncan herself. I don’t want to be a homewrecker.”
Liberty had a weird dream.
When she woke up, she recalled a woman with a blurry face in her dream, telling her that Duncan did not want her anymore and that she should leave Duncan as soon as possible.
Liberty looked at the ceiling for a while before getting up.
Perhaps her dream had been connected to her thoughts.
Last night, Serenity told her that she might have a love rival.
Was she unconsciously worried about someone else snatching Duncan away?
Liberty changed her clothes and washed up after sitting on the bed for some time. Next, she sat at the dressing table and put on intricate makeup for the day.
She stared at her reflection in the mirror and thought she was in good condition that day. She took her phone and sent Serenity a message: [Has Sonny gone to school?]
Soon, Serenity sent a photo of the preschool’s entrance as a reply. She had received Liberty's message right after she dropped Sonny off. She searched for Mrs. Longbottom at the preschool entrance that day but could not find her.
Was Mrs. Longbottom really not Carrie? Were their previous meetings purely coincidences?
Liberty returned a smiling emoji to Serenity and sent a voice message, “I'm going to pack my breakfast and head to the company. Let's talk tonight.”
“You haven't had your breakfast? You should have your meals on time. Don't forget to eat just because you're busy. Meals are more important than business.”
Serenity was a food lover. She would always put eating above anything else. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
