” Then why are you asking me to marry you out of nowhere?” Giselle asks out of curiosity.

” The same reason why I want to have a child with you”

” What is the connection of the battle of succession for us to get married and for you to have a child? Is that a medieval period rule for a royalty?” She said out of sarcasm.

” Correct, Because it’s a rule” Xander seriously answered that makes Giselle jaw drop out of disbelief.

” Yes, Before” Xander casually answered that makes Giselle roll her eyes because she feels that Xander is a bit boastful.

” No, I don’t need you to do that, I want a different need from you” Xander seriously said as he moved closer to Giselle to be a little more intimate and convincing to her.

” I want us to get married for the child to become a legitimate child of mine. And that is the key for me to win the battle of succession”

” How come our child will be the key for your win? ” She seriously asked as she leaned closer to Xander enough to kiss him if they did a wrong move.

Just give me the Marriage certificate and I will signed it. And prepare the marriage contract also” Giselle straightly said before she walks out from the living room and walk back to her room to avoid to see the face of Xander.

Even Giselle looks okay outside but deep inside she is furiously mad at Xander. She wants to punch that man’s face and strangle him until he is dead. First bearing his child and then he wants him to marry her. She can’t protest against that man because he knows how he tamed her.

Giselle fell on the floor as she pulled her hair out of frustration. She suddenly feels helpless and trapped in the cage. She hates this feeling. But she can’t do anything about it. Marriage is a word that triggers Giselle, Because a bad memory always flashes into her mind when someone speaks the word Marriage. It’s a bad memory for her the day when she lost the only person who accepted her. She suddenly has a nervous breakdown. Even if she always teases Bryan about marriage talks, it’s just a joke to her most trusted friends. It will never happen to that man because he is a gay and yet here she is getting married to another man.

” I thought it would be okay if we used each other to get what we want but- I-I can’t. I want to quit” She cried as she kicked her feet.

” No! No, Giselle calmed down. It’s already in the past. They are different people. You’re living right now. You’re doing this to live, You’re doing this to survive” She mumbled as she tried to calm herself.

Giselle is known as a calm, preserved and complete woman but behind closed doors. She always blames herself for all the unfortunate things that happened to her. ” Calm yourself, You’re okay now. You’re okay! You need to be okay! ” Giselle said out of comforting herself. She wipe the tears in her eyes and fixed her hair that now is a total mess.

” Stop it Giselle, Wipe your tears” She added as she wiped her tears again that can’t stop from falling in her eyes.

” You’re not a child anymore, Stop being dramatic ” She bluntly said to herself as she stood up and walked towards her vanity dresser as she got wet wipes and wiped her face. It’s like that there’s nothing happened. She looks fiercely in the mirror as she untie her hair and fall it down.

XANDER is still sitting on the sofa in the living room. After Giselle went to her room, He immediately messaged Rolando to bring the marriage contract to Giselle’s condo. He wants her signature as soon as possible. Because the family dinner is getting nearer and on that day also the participants of the Battle of succession will be announced all over the family.

After that day, It will be hard for him and also for Giselle because the real battle will begin. He hopes that Giselle will get pregnant as soon as possible. It will be great if it will be announced in front of his Grandfather. Xander just leaned on the Sofa as he reached the remote and opened the T. V. After half an hour, Giselle went outside her room and went towards her living room. She walks straight to the sofa and sits down beside Xander who is now watching basketball. ” Pay me a generous amount of money” Giselle said out of nowhere that made Xander chuckle a little bit.

” I’m generous in terms of paying Ms. Hidalgo ” Xander confidently said as he turned off the T. V.

” Based on the contract after I deliver your baby, I will vanish on your sight and I will not introduce myself as the mother of the child. Now, we have this contract marriage. Will there be changes in the first contract?” Giselle bluntly asks as she looks at Xander.

” Yes, there will be a little change. The time that you deliver the baby is also the time when our marriage will be invalid. I will use all my powers to make that happened and also for you to continue and pursue the life you want”

Giselle just laughs at what Xander said because it’s easy for him to say all those things. It’s like he just joined a game and can quit any time.

” What a jerk! I want a change in the contract” Giselle blurted out that makes Xander look at her intently.

” You can’t do that. ” Xander’s answer makes Giselle smirk.

” Then, there will be no marriage between you and me. Find another woman and make her your wife” Giselle said out sarcasm.

Xander just laugh because of just what Giselle said. Because she can’t do that to him. He has a plan and he doesn’t let anyone ruin all his plans.

” No, You can’t. If you forced that idea. You know what will happen to that 2 person” Xander said out of warning that made Giselle smile at him. A smile that makes shivers run down your spine.

” Do it, Do your plan. Make my life miserable. So, at the end I will have a final choice to end my life because of you” Giselle threat to Xander. She is serious about what he said to this man. If he makes her life miserable then she will end her life to end that miserable life.

” You think I’m not serious? Oh, Darling. Ask Bryan what I can do”

Xander just looked coldly at Giselle because of what this woman said to him. He can’t lose this woman because she is the key to winning the battle of succession. At the end Xander just sighs and let Giselle put changes in the last contract.

” Sigh, Just tell Rolando about that later. He will go here to deliver the marriage contract” Xander said out of defeat.

” I will not sign any contract as long as the first contract doesn’t change its contents. I will sign the first contract and then the second is the marriage contract ” Giselle stubbornly said that made Xander jaw dropped.

” You can’t do that, Rolando is just a minute away. He will be here at any moment ” Xander immediately said but Giselle just ignored it and looked at her nails. She acts like she doesn’t hear anything.

” I’m going back to my room. It’s time for my afternoon sleep, See you later” Giselle suddenly said to avoid Xander. Because she knows that Xander will force her to sign the Marriage contract today.

” Bye!” Giselle quickly said as she ran fast towards her bedroom and locked it.
