“I want… you,” he whispered.

There was no need for more words.

Allison sat on his waist, but his kiss left her weak and breathless. From day to night, for the first time, she experienced a wild rush, losing herself in a whirlwind of passion.

Kellan, no longer holding back, was completely uninhibited.

The mix of roughness and tenderness in his touch was undeniable.

The next day, when Allison woke up, she received a call from the hospital. In her dazed state, Allison heard a panicked voice on the other end. “Miss Hayes from bed three is missing.”

Allison immediately snapped to attention. “What do you mean?”

The nurse sounded frantic. “We’re so sorry. This was our mistake. Miss Hayes isn’t at the hospital. Has she contacted you? Please come to the hospital right away.”

She quickly informed Kellan, and they rushed to the hospital.

“Ms. Clarke, we apologize. The security footage shows that Miss Hayes took out her IV and left on her own.” The nurse guided them to the ward.

The bed was indeed empty.

Amya’s slippers were left beside the bed, a clear sign that she had gotten up, put on her shoes, and walked out.

“We saw her just ten minutes ago, but when we came back to change her meds, Miss Hayes was gone.”

Allison frowned, a sense of unease creeping over her.

“Did you notice what she was doing the last time you saw her?” The nurse paused to think.

“Let me remember,” she said, her voice trailing off.

After a moment, she spoke again, sounding unsure. “It seems she was on the phone and holding a bank card.”

Allison felt even more unsettled.

“I understand. You can return to your duties now. We’ll go look for her.”

“Sure,” the nurse replied, nodding. “Call me if you need anything.”

Once the nurse left, Allison and Kellan searched the entire bed.

They pulled back the quilt but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary. Kellan thought for a moment.

“Her phone is gone too. She must have planned to leave, not been taken by surprise by something.”

Allison nodded in agreement. “I’m afraid she went to meet someone she shouldn’t have.”

As she spoke, she opened the bedside drawer.
