Scars Of A Broken Bond

Chapter 1585

I’ll chop your hands off!”

The onlooker stared at Keilani, wide-eyed and speechless. When he first heard the commotion and saw the scene of Keilani being beaten, his first thoughts were that she was the victim, and he felt sorry for her. He recorded the incident as potential evidence for her if she needed it. However, his plan took a swift turn after a scolding from Keilani.

The onlooker promptly deleted the video, leaving the scene in haste with the thought that Keilani probably deserved what she got! This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

After surveying the damage to the car, Keilani arranged for a tow truck to retrieve it for repairs and someone to pick her up.

After the call, Keilani turned to find Alice beside her. A sudden realization crossed her mind, and she stared at Alice coldly. “While I was getting beaten, what were you doing in the car all this time?”

Embarrassed, Alice explained, “I tried to get out of the car to help you, but the door was jammed and wouldn’t open. It took me a lot of effort to finally open the door, but I accidentally cut my hand.”

After that, Alice showed Keilani her hands. There was an apparent red gash on her palm.

Keilani, feeling reassured that Alice hadn’t abandoned her, believed Alice’s story after seeing the wound and didn’t press the matter further.

“Keilani, where are we going when the car arrives?”

“Where are we going?” Keilani asked with a somber expression. “I’m heading home, of course! I intend to seek revenge with the help of my uncle!”

Alice hesitated before reminding her, “Isn’t Lance coming?”

Keilani was taken aback. Amidst the unfolding drama, she almost forgot it.

With a resentful tone, Keilani remarked, “Then we should go pick up my brother first! I want him to see what that woman he adores so much has done to me! I believe it will alter his perception of that bitch after this!”

Alice reassured her, “Don’t fret. Lance cares for you deeply. He will undoubtedly stand by your side and support you!”

Lance stood by the baggage carousel at Mathias International Airport, waiting for his Luggage.

As he did, Lance powered on his phone and switched it to normal mode.

Shortly after, he received a video message from an unfamiliar number.

Lance clicked on the video message and watched the surveillance footage, which appeared to be filmed at the airport.

Upon replaying the video, he observed that the individuals in the footage were Sabrina and Tyrone. What did it have to do with him?

Perplexed, Lance pushed his gold-rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose and shook his head. He then inexplicably deleted the video.

He retrieved his suitcase from the airport and scanned the surroundings.

“Lance, over here!” a familiar voice called out.

Lance turned his head and walked toward Keilani. “What happened to you?” he inquired, furrowing his brow after noticing her disheveled appearance.

“I was beaten. You must avenge me!” Keilani complained tearfully.

Lance arched an eyebrow and glanced at Alice, who appeared unscathed, with flawless makeup and immaculate attire.

Alice’s heart skipped a beat, and she smiled as she spoke. “Lance, not only did they assault Keilani, but they also damaged her car. I had to intervene and drive them away. Unfortunately, the car door was jammed, and I couldn’t get out in time to prevent them from slapping Keilani.”

Hearing Alice’s explanation, Lance, aware of Keilani’s tendencies, questioned, “Why would someone hit you without a reason? You must have caused trouble again, right?”

“Hey! How can you say that and defend an outsider? You’re my brother.

What are you talking about?” Keilani retorted furiously. “I’ve never been beaten like this. No one had ever dared lay a finger on me.”

“That’s why you’re so spoiled!”

Lance walked out with his suitcase and glanced at Keilani, saying, “Back in Philade, everyone yielded to you because of our father’s influence. In Mathias, there’s no family support, and no one will make allowances for you, not even for this small matter. Can’t you handle it?”

“But… You’re acting as though you aren’t even my brother?”

“Who hit you?”

Keilani hastened her steps to keep up with his pace. “It was Sabrina and her friend.”

Lance frowned. Sabrina and her friend? Was it Bettie or Aylin?

Lance lowered his gaze. With a serious expression, he asked in a subdued voice, “Tell me what happened.”
