Rush: Part One & Two: Part 2 – Chapter 64

“Chérie, chérie, wake up,” Gabriel whispers into my ear, the pad of his thumb running over my cheek.

I smile while enjoying the way the electricity courses through my body from where his skin grazes mine. The mahogany scent coming off him almost makes me sigh, but I control myself. It doesn’t matter how many times he touches me or how many times we kiss, it always affects me in the same sweet way.

Even though I’m awake, I pretend to be asleep so I can hear him say my pet name again and feel his finger on my face for a little longer.

“I know you’re awake,” he says, and I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing. “Are you going to make me kiss you?” he asks, and before I can help myself, I nod. “I knew you were awake.”

I open my eyes and giggle, pulling his head down so I can press my lips against his. I taste the mint from his toothpaste when his tongue slides into my mouth, making me moan against his.

“Good morning.” My voice is raspy and hardly audible. He chuckles, his hand moving from my face to my arm to my hip. “What time is it?” A yawn escapes me, but I cover my mouth, lifting my arms to stretch a moment later.

“Six-thirty,” he replies, and I shove his arm away, an annoyed expression settling on my face.

“Why the hell are you waking me up at six-thirty in the morning?”

Gabriel rolls onto his stomach to laugh into his pillow. I want to stay mad, but he’s being too cute, and it causes a grin spreads over my features.

“Don’t be an ass,” I complain, but I’m also a bit distracted by the way his back muscles flex as he lifts off the bed.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

He faces me, my eyes drifting to his messy hair, which, as per usual, makes him look a ridiculous kind of sexy.

“So, why did you wake me up so early? And how come you’ve already finished getting ready?” Gabriel pulls me upright, his hands cupping my face.

“We are driving back to Maranello because my team has asked me to test drive the new Ferrari sports car, and I convinced them to let you too.” A bright smile covers my lips, and I crawl on top of him, straddling his lap.

“I’m going to drive it around the track?” I ask, and he gives me a nod. “Oh no, but that also means I’ll be sitting next to you while you drive, right?”

“Yes, of course. That’s how it works,” he replies and chuckles, an unsure smile on his face. “Why?”

“Well, I’m going to be terrified when you’re the one behind the wheel!” I tease. He touches the tip of his tongue to the roof of his mouth, and I hold back my laughter.

“Oh really?” he asks, his hands grabbing my ass and squeezing it, making me forget my own name. “Terrified, huh?” His hands move under my breasts, teasing me.

“Yes, maybe you should let me go first so I can teach you how to properly race. You could use a few pointers.” My palms move to each side of his neck, my gaze holding his as he brings my aching clit closer to his groin.

“Maybe I’ll cancel, and we’ll stay here where I can fuck that attitude right out of you,” he says, his dirty words surprising me as much as they excite my body. “Go, get ready. We have to leave in half an hour,” he demands with a slap on my ass, and I sigh before I move off his lap.

“Tease,” I groan and walk into the bathroom.

It doesn’t take me long to brush my hair and teeth and apply some light makeup. I put on my black jeans and a tight, purple, long-sleeved shirt. My breasts look bigger than they normally do in it, and I smile when I think about how Gabriel is going to react. My hair falls loosely down my back, my natural curls more defined today than usual.

“You look absolutely breathtaking,” he says when his eyes shift from his phone to me. “Thank you,” Gabriel adds, and I give him a confused furrow of my brows.

“For what?”

“For making me the luckiest man in the world by being mine.”

Gabriel has this way of saying all the right things at the perfect times, and I hate it. I hate it because it makes me fall more in love with him. I hate it because I adore how romantic he is all the time. To anyone else, Gabriel is this confident man, who isn’t corny, but with me, he’s wonderfully vulnerable. He blushes, he gets shy, and he lets me in. He’s still that confident guy, but he also chooses to be himself with me.

“I love you,” I say because nothing else would sound right.

“Every time you say it, my heart jumps in my chest.” He smiles to himself for the swiftest second.

“Well, I do. I love you,” I repeat and walk over to where he’s sitting, placing both of my hands on each side of his face. I adore the way his soft skin contrasts his gruff stubble.

“You make me perfectly crazy; you know that?” I lean down to press my lips to his, but he stops me so my mouth is a centimeter from his. “I love you, ma chérie.” I smile as I kiss him on the lips, cheek, nose, pretty much all over his face, like he always does with me.

His hands lift to my wrists, and eventually, he stops me, forcing me to look him in the eyes as he kisses me on the lips in the sweetest way.

“Okay, let’s go before I make other plans,” he says and chuckles, making me laugh a little too.
