~REX’S POV~

I cupped her face in my hands so she could look at me. When I saw how beautiful she was, I wanted to claim her before I did anything else. However, I cannot do that. She is on a par with me. I kept my gaze fixed on her, hesitant to enter her thoughts.

“Alaric, I am incapable of doing this. If I do this, she will be enraged.”

“Listen, I’m tired of you constantly casting doubt on her faithfulness to us. You continue to spew nonsense whenever you hear stories about her making errors. If you do not enter her mind, I will.”

“Let’s give her some time.”

“Never. The more you delay, the more doubts you will develop.”

I could detect Alaric’s attempt to emerge. My gaze shifted.

“You’re going to scare her, Alaric,” I screamed.

“I couldn’t care less! I just want to get this rubbish out of the way. My soulmate is what I crave. Somehow, she’s going to run into each one of us.” I could see I was powerless.

“Do not tempt me, Rex!”

“OK, I’ll do it,” I replied.

“Make use of the authority you’ve been given to deal with her.”

“We cannot do that to her, Alaric.”

“Do I sound as though I’m offering you any alternatives here?”

I looked at her once more, trying to see if my command works on her.

“From which pack are you?”

I noticed her eyes widening and her body trembling in my presence.

“Please, Rex. Please do not do this to me.”

I glanced at her, oblivious to the desire to hold her and apologize for using my authority.

“The Silver Lake Pack,” as she stated. I could sense she was apprehensive about discussing it.

“Who is the pack’s alpha?”

I saw her eyes pleading with me to stop. Her eyes welled up as tears streamed down her cheeks. She shook her head in disbelief. She attempted to flee from me, but I had already restrained her from moving from her position. I saw her fall to her knees and begin sobbing in defeat. She did something that was not possible. While sobbing in defeat, she took my two hands and placed them on her temples. She gave me a nod and glanced at me.

How the devil did she know I could read her thoughts?

I shrug. When I’m finished, I’ll inquire about her. I could tell she knew fully that I would take it badly.

Alpha and Luna of the Moon Stone pack could not conceive. The Luna had a white wolf. It implies that she has a special bond with my mother. She and her mate, the alpha, pleaded with the moon goddess for a child. My mother granted the wish and informed her that she would have a child, but it would not be hers. She’ll have a lot of babies after that. They should call her Juno. Luna and Alpha concurred. Juno had a twin brother. When she was three years old, Zeus emerged, nearly annihilating the entire pack in his pursuit of Juno. They were forced to hand over Juno to Zeus. He took the girl with him and abandoned her in the streets, close to the Silver Lake Pack. She spent days on the street before the pack’s omegas took her in without informing the alpha. They went to the alpha with her when she was five years old, and he refused to let them legally adopt her, though he gave them permission to take her in. They did not accept her as a member of the pack. As a result, they enrolled her in a human-only school. She got her Lycan when she was 18 years old. Simultaneously, she graduated from high school and returned to the pack.

The same day, she came face to face with a wolf, his golden eyes glistening in her direction.

Mate!

I desired to remove my hands, but Alaric restrained me.

For the first time, her Lycan glowed. She attended a party where she reconnected with him. He snarled.

“Mine” ascending the stairwell with the help of another female. She attempted to flee, but he pursued her outside.

“I like the chase, little mate.”

He eventually apprehended her and escorted her to his room. She pleaded with him to halt, that it was too soon, but he persisted. He sexually assaulted her. It was rape, but she was unaware since she believed he had the right as her mate. He continued to exploit her sexually. He was aware she was pregnant and was certain he would not keep her. He decided on a time for her to visit the hospital. On the same day, he had his Luna ceremony, which he had chosen while Juno was at the hospital.

I attempted to wiggle my hands away from Juno’s temples, but Alaric pinned me down once again. I cast a glance her way. She sees everything I see.

How is this possible? Did she get her lycanthropy?

“Focus, you are not escaping this!” Alaric compelled me to return to her thoughts. She discovered she was pregnant, yet she maintained a concerned expression. When she got to Alex’s room, she caught him having sex with his new Luna. He didn’t slow down at any point. Rather than that, he coerced her into stripping naked and watching him have sex.

I couldn’t keep the tears from streaming down my face. I couldn’t see any of this.

“Alaric, please stop, I beg of you.”

I was in tears. I locked my gaze on Juno. She averted her gaze. She then clasped her hand over mine, preventing me from moving one inch. She desires me to see it through to the end. However, I cannot see this. I pleaded with her to release me. I can’t watch this. She commanded.

He chased his luna from the room. She attempted to reject him, but he dared her and raped her once more. She was enslaved. While pregnant and living in a filthy basement, she cleans and cooks for the pack. She was abused by the pack. While pregnant, Alex kicked her stomach while trying to flee, which caused her to lose her voice and her Lycan. She was forced to shift, and her slight frame was repeatedly slammed into a tree. Being raped unconscious, blood pouring from her sex. Giving birth, and him being absent from the boy’s care. Alex declined the boy’s kidney and blood donation. Then my mother arrived at the hospital and informed her that she could not save the boy. Not to forget, she was indeed working without being paid. The child surrenders his life. Juno was expelled from the pack, but not before she cursed Alex. For years, she lived on the streets, attempting to find a way to end her life. Then she ran into me while being pursued by wolves who were attempting to rape her.

~JUNO’S POV~

I don’t know what came over me. I felt it when Rex began ordering me. And I realized I was now his mate. I’m not sure how. At first, even with the sparks between us, I couldn’t believe it. However, I am certain at the moment, and I am positive he will never harm me. I had a strong desire to show him. I knew he could infiltrate my thoughts and that it was only a matter of time until he did. I nodded as I placed his two hands on my temples and he nodded back. I used my authority to subdue him. He was trembling, and tears streamed down his face. He battled against seeing any more of it. However, we are one. He is required to see it. What I don’t understand is why I have so much faith. However, I’ve recently recalled a few details concerning us. I recall our first meeting centuries ago.

Since they were twins, I recall his brother pleading with him to share me with him. However, I felt no sparkles for Zeus. Zeus kidnapped me from my parents. I believed Zeus adored me and would never harm me. He swore not to harm me centuries ago. Is Alex Zeus? I burst into tears as I realized what I’d done. No, Alex raped me. It’s not like I enjoyed it. I know that this will be difficult for Rex. I raised my eyes to meet the sight of my mate, the guy I had loved and still loves. The one I have loved to the point of death. I attempted to enter his mind, but he blocked me. Why? He sobbed uncontrollably. His Lycan had imprisoned him, allowing him to see everything. I could see him attempting to come to a halt. I dared him by placing my hand on him, which I know I will regret. Rex does not appreciate being told what to do. For as long as I can recall, people referred to him as a demon. Because he was a ruthless creature. However, I adored him; he possessed an enormous heart that only I could see. I could see he was now pleading with me with his eyes, pleading with me to ask Alaric for his release. However, I wish for him to see everything. After what felt like an eternity, he was clutching his chest, desperately attempting to breathe. He searched for something to grasp as he attempted to inhale. Looking at me with so much guilt in him. He reaches for the wall and grasps it. Looking at me while I continue to sob. I knew well that this was not a favorable situation. I dashed outdoors, unsure who to call. I know that he requires my help, but because I do not yet possess my Lycan in its entirety, I am useless to him. I’m not even ready to fight Alex yet. Nobody could pin him down. Then, suddenly, the entire palace shook. I know well that he’s holding back. I watched the left-wing of the palace collapsing, leaving a cloud of dust in its wake. Then, out of the falling building, a massive golden dragon with golden scales rushed out fast. As if preparing to launch fireballs and breathe fire into something or someone. I raised my eyes. His eyes were ablaze with fire, and he was already inhaling flames. I know Alex is in trouble. I just know his pack and innocent people might have to be dragged into this.
