Richest Mogul

Chapter 1633

Caleb didn't say anything. After all, it was about Aiken. And there must be a reason why he didn't want to get married. Of course, Simona understood that.

When she was younger, she didn't understand, but now that she was older, she realized that Aiken probably feared that marriage would make him vulnerable. He worried that it would become a weakness-something that could harm his family. Now, Simona thought that sometimes Aiken overthought things. He shouldn't worry about things that hadn't even happened yet. He was living just fine as it was.

Worrying about things that might never happen could lead to a life full of regrets, and that just didn't seem worth it.

She had told Aiken all of this, but he disagreed. So, she could only wait and see. Their relationship couldn't stay the same forever.

...

Skylar drove home quickly. Thankfully, the place where she had met Simona and Caleb wasn't far, so the drive home only took about 20 minutes. She was a bit worried about Joe's condition.

He had gone to play golf today, and it wasn't even a particularly intense sport. She wondered why he was suddenly feeling unwell.

A sense of unease began to settle in her chest.noveldrama

Soon, she arrived at Galaxy Villa. Seeing the car parked in front of the house, she hurried inside. Lucas had just come downstairs.

Upon seeing Skylar, Lucas quickly spoke up. "When Mr. Martin came back, he said he wasn't feeling well and asked me to call you. He said he didn't need to go to the hospital, but I noted that he didn't look well. I'm not sure what happened, so I just informed Mr. Grey. He should be here soon."

Skylar nodded. "Okay, I'll go check on him."

Two minutes later, she was at Joe's side. He was lying on the bed, eyes closed, his brow furrowed tightly. It was clear he was feeling unwell.

"I'm back," Skylar murmured as she walked over to the side of the bed.

As she got closer, she suddenly felt that something was off. Joe opened his eyes.

When he looked at her, his gaze seemed to pierce right through her, as though he was seeing someone else entirely. He said nothing.

Skylar's expression changed

instantly. Who did you meet today?

Did you come into contact with something?" she asked, but doe didn't respond.

After a brief glance, he closed his eyes again. Skylar immediately grabbed his hand, refraining from asking more questions. She knew that no matter what she asked, Joe wouldn't hear her now.

He had come into contact with a negative item today.

Over the years, Joe had developed a sharp sensitivity to negative items. Although he could usually keep most of them at bay, sometimes, when he wasn't sure, he would ask her

So, today's situation must have been particularly unusual. Perhaps he had unknowingly encountered negative items.

As soon as she held his hand, Joe spoke up. "Are you Raven Garrett?" he asked.

His eyes were closed, but his words were clear, not at all like incoherent ramblings.

"Raven Garret?" Skylar thought.

She paused for a moment. She had never heard that name before.

She wondered if it could be one of his friends, a classmate, or maybe someone from his company.
