Chapter 717 Sis, Are You The One Who Wants To See The Doctor
Chapter 717 Sis, Are You The One Who Wants To See The Doctor
Chapter 717 Sis, are you the one who wants to see the doctor
Emmie did not expect such a scene. She hurriedly ran to Brandon, held out her hands, and said, "Dad,
what are you doing? You're a doctor. Doctors always save lives. You always say you won't treat any
patients, but in the end you still do. This time, can you quickly say yes?"
Brandon said with anger, "It was before. This time is different. I can treat anyone else except her."
Emmie turned her head to Sophia, "Sis, is it you who wants to see the doctor?"
"No, it's my husband!"
Sophia said without hesitation.
Brandon waved his hand, "That's more unlikely!"
Sophia said loudly, "Mr. Glass, you refused to treat my husband because he's the son of the woman
you miss all the time. Am I right?"
Sophia's words confused Emmie, but she understood one thing, that is, Sophia seemed to know the
woman she had been curious about.
Brandon froze, and after a long time, he said, "I don't understand what you're saying!"
Turning around, he went back to get the herbs.
Sophia walked forward. "You say you don't understand, but you betrayed yourself the moment you saw
me."
"In the eyes of outsiders, you are unworldly, as if you break off all the relations with others. But I know
you actually care about a lot of things, and you also care about my teacher!"
Emmie looked more confused. Who was Sophia's teacher?
"My teacher is the one you've always wanted. You recognize me as her student at a glance and realize
I am here to ask you to save my teacher's son. But I know well my teacher's son's life and death has
nothing to do with you, and you will just sit by and do nothing."
Brandon turned his head and walked up to Sophia.
"Not bad, I admit, you're very smart to figure it out so quickly. But what does that matter? Since you
know I want you all dead, why did you come?"
Sophia suddenly knelt down.
Paul was stunned and followed suit.
"Dr. Glass, please save my husband. He doesn't have much time left. If you don't save him, he'll really
die," Sophia pleaded.
Brandon turned his head. "What does it matter if he lives or dies?"
"Of course, you hate my husband because his existence reminds you of the fact that my teacher once
betrayed you. But so many years have passed. Haven't you gotten over it yet?"
Brandon kept waving his hand. "I told you I don't understand! Leave now or else I'll let the dogs attack
you!"
Emmie also knelt down on the ground. "Dad, although I don't understand what's going on, I know you
actually want to save this lady's husband! Please help her before it's too late."
"Shut up!" Brandon was getting angry. "Emmie, get up right now! This has nothing to do with us."
"Dad," Emmie continued pleadingly as she refused to stand up, "I really like this lady but everything
that matters is about your happiness. Please help her before it's too late."
Brandon became even more furious at Emmie's stubbornness and threatened them all by saying,
"Okay, fine, if no one wants to listen me, I will let the dogs attack you all!" Several large dogs came
running from behind them.
Paul immediately stood in front of Sophia for protection while Emmie stood between them both and
said confidently ,"It's okay; those dogs won't hurt me."
"Emmie," Brandon shouted angrily again, "Don't tell me that you still haven't realized your mistake?"
Emmie bit her lip tightly as she replied firmly, "Dad, I didn't make any mistakes! Everything I've done Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
was for your sake!"
The big dogs ran towards them at a fast pace until they were right in front of their faces.
Sophia covered her eyes but suddenly saw the dogs stop abruptly in their tracks without attacking
anyone.
"Damn it, you're an impressive woman. You even got my daughter to speak up for you. But don't
misunderstand. My dogs didn't attack you purely because I care about my daughter. But I still won't
treat your husband. You guys can leave now!"
With that, Brandon took the dogs and left.
Emmie looked at Sophia sadly and said, "Sis, I don't know why my dad was so stubborn this time.
Maybe it's because of the person he misses. I'm sorry, there's nothing more I can do to help."
Sophia wasn't surprised and gratefully replied, "You've done enough already. Thank you so much!
Don't worry about me."
Emmie sighed and went off with Brandon.
Paul whispered,"What should we do? Just now I received a call saying Mr. Riley couldn't hold out for
another 24 hours over there, plus our journey back there... we really don't have much time left."
Paul believed that Sophia wouldn't give up easily but they had to be quick.
He suggested,"Should we tie up Brandon?"
As expected of Drake's henchman, when faced with problems, he always thought of using force to
solve them.
Sophia looked at him, "Don't you see? Brandon is stubborn by nature; if we do that, he will only
become more obstinate."
"What should we do then?"
Paul was used to solving problems in this way; for a moment he didn't know what else he could do.
Sophia smiled and said,"We'll try this..."
After hearing her plan, Paul kept giving her thumbs-up while exclaiming how brilliant it was!
Instead of leaving, they both went back to Brandon again.
Brandon realized something wrong and asked them,"What are you trying to do?"
Sophia and Paul started working on something. Even Emmie didn't understand what they were doing.
Brandon shouted, "Put down my herbs! My herbs are everything to me! If you dare take them away
from me, then we're finished!"
Neither Sophia nor Paul heard him as they continued doing what needed be done without hesitation.
Brandon continued shouting, "Hey! My herbs... put them down!"
Emmie seemed like she understood what was going on and suddenly laughed out loud while watching.
She ran over to Sophia and Paul, but they were not in a hurry. They walked over to the water tank and
suddenly, the herbs fell into it.
"Oops, I'm sorry, Dr. Glass. I didn't know how it happened!" Sophia pretended that it wasn't intentional.
