Chapter 1114
Seeing that Sophie was searching for her son, Mr. Donny's face flashed with panic. "Did my son disrespect you in any way, Ms. Sophie?"
"Mr. Donny, maybe we could discuss this inside?"
Mr. Donny nodded rapidly, ushering Sophie and her entourage through the grand entrance of the Spellman family estate.
Leading the way with Mr. Donny right behind her, he said, "Ms. Sophie, my son is still young and doesn't know better. If he offended you, I sincerely hope you can forgive him."
"It's no big deal, really. Just that he cut my brake lines, punctured my gas tank, and put a lighter in there. Almost blew me up, that's all."
"What?!"
Mr. Donny nearly collapsed from shock. This was no minor issue; it was a serious offense!
"Timothy! Bring that troublemaker down here right now!"
Sweating profusely, Mr. Donny quickly instructed the maid to fetch Timothy.
In no time, Timothy came downstairs, clearly reluctant.
Upon seeing Sophie, Timothy's expression soured even more.
"Get over here!"
Mr. Donny dragged Timothy in front of Sophie. Sophie, resting her chin on her hand, said, "The car you messed with yesterday wasn't mine; it was Mr. Odie's. He's a bit of a neat freak and doesn't like his cars damaged. You catch my drift?" "Got it, got it!"
Before Timothy could say a word, Mr. Donny quickly interjected, "Ms. Sophie, I'll cover the full cost of the car!"
"That car was a limited edition, no longer available for purchase. The price, well, it's in the eight-figure range, but I think Mr. Donny can manage it." Hearing the eight-figure price tag, Mr. Donny felt a sharp pang but was relieved it wasn't a life-or-death matter, considering the car belonged to Odie. Sophie took out a card from her bag and handed it to Mr. Donny. "This is my account. Transfer the money within three days."
"Of course!"
Mr. Donny took the card, casting a stern glance at Timothy. "Look at what you've done! Apologize to Ms. Sophie right now!"Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
After all, Sophie wasn't just Odie's friend but also Colby's wife and the CEO of S Corporation. Who could afford to offend her? Timothy stepped forward, murmuring, "Ms. Sophie, I'm sorry. It was all my fault."
"It's alright; kids will be kids."
Sophie smiled at Timothy, asking, "How old are you, Timothy?"
"...I just turned seventeen."
"Seventeen, huh? Pretty young, but you've got quite the guts."
Looking around the Spellman family estate, Sophie remarked, "You seem pretty clever, cutting brake lines and using a lighter, all executed perfectly. Where'd you learn to do that?"
"...From movies."
"Oh."
Sophie nodded, adding, "To think watching movies could lead to such perfect execution. Mr. Donny, you've certainly raised a promising son. His future seems limitless."
"Ms. Sophie, you flatter me too much!"
Turning to Timothy, Sophie inquired, "I heard that you dropped out because of poor grades and even caused stir at Palm's Jewels, making it tough for you to find work in the I've got a proposition,
though. Would you be interested in working with me?"
