In Everton Corporation, Shane rushed to the president’s office after receiving a message. Without stopping, he pushed open the door to the office. “Mr. Barlow, Madam Sonia…”
Upon seeing Isabel, who had somehow appeared in the office, Shane hesitated in his speech. He nodded in acknowledgment and greeted, “Ms. Fisher.”

Anderson’s tone remained calm as he said, “This has nothing to do with you. They’ll eventually find out about Mayra. I didn’t want anyone to know because I didn’t want a young girl to become my weakness.”
Suddenly, he reached out and pulled the gentle woman beside him into his
arms.
Isabel seemed startled. She sat uneasily on his lap while pressing her palm against his warm chest. “Hey, there are other people here.”
Shane silently left the room.
Anderson rarely, if ever, made such gestures. It was the Barlow family’s rule to restrain himself. To them, women were just tools for reproduction.
Emotions were never his necessity.
Whether it was Isabel or any other woman, they were all the same.
But women were needed to make mundane tasks more bearable.
Isabel hooked her arms around Anderson’s neck and asked softly, “What’s wrong with you today?”
Suddenly, Anderson reached out and caressed her back, forcing her body closer to him. He leaned down, landing his lips against the smooth skin of her neck.
This slight touch seemed to send a surge of electricity coursing through her body.
“Do you want it? I can give it to you.” Her voice was like a bewitching spell.
