She let go of him and straightened out his wrinkled shirt. She saw that there was a hole in it. “Go and get changed later. I’ll wash this for you.”

Mayra ignored her and went to the apothecary at the front of the house.
Gordon was gathering herbal medicines. “Gordon, how come you know how to do everything?”
Gordon said, “Take this medicine after meals three times a day. If you find it troublesome, I’ll prepare it for you.”
She said, “You’re amazing, Gordon. How do you know how to do everything? Apart from Andy, you’re the second person that I admire and respect the most.”
He said, “I can teach you if you want to learn.”
