Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 31

"It has nothing to do with Gerald." Sabrina didn't want to drag anyone else into it.

"Then I don't understand. If you want a divorce so badly, why did you drug me?"

"Would you believe me if I said I didn't?"

"No."

What else could she say, then? She turned away from him.

Nelson was dissatisfied with her answers. His hands became restless.

Sabrina struggled, but Nelson effortlessly rendered her immobile. In the end, she gave up.

Nelson chuckled, leaning close to her neck. Propping himself up, he gazed at her under the soft glow of the yellowish light. He was captivated by her stubborn yet alluring expression.

"I won't force you. One day, you'll come to ask for me."

"Dream on. That day will never come." Irritated, she covered herself with the blanket.

Nelson remained silent.

Did she think he couldn't find a way to control her? She seemed so arrogant.

Sabrina's phone rang at 6:00 am the next day.

There was an urgent work matter, so she handled it while getting up.

It also woke Nelson up. Lying in bed with his arm under his head, he watched her bustle around without getting up.

Sabrina packed her bags for the business trip before saying to him, "Remember to close the door when you leave."

Nelson leaned against the head of the bed, bending one leg. "Is that all?"

"What?"

Nelson raised an eyebrow. She had clung to him all night, yet treated him so coldly once she woke up. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

"How long will you be gone?"

"Not sure."

She was not sure? Or did she just not want to tell him?

"I'll wait for you."

Sabrina felt that his statement meant something profound.

She didn't think much about it. She needed to make a trip to Malma. There were issues between a partner and a distributor that she needed to resolve.

That night, Nelson sent her a text, "Gerald asked who's the son of a bitch was that broke up with you. How should I answer?"

Sabrina thought he was crazy and ignored it.

Two days later, she received a photo from Gerald showing the repaired brooch.

Sabrina didn't expect it to be fixed so quickly, so she was genuinely pleased.

"Let's have dinner together when I arrive in Slitton. It's to thank you, and I also have something to tell you."

Telling Gerald about her and Nelson was best done in person.

"I can't. Ronaldo wants to thank Mr. Nash tonight, and I want to be there in person."

Sabrina suddenly had a bad feeling. "Was it Ronaldo who helped contact Mr. Nash to repair the brooch?"

"Yes."

Sabrina didn't know what to say.

She called Ronaldo and learned about Simon's relationship with Nelson.

She remembered Nelson saying, "You'll come to ask for me."

At this moment, Nelson was walking around Marshal Street with Simon.

"Nel, what's your relationship with the brooch's owner?"

Nelson was suddenly unsure how to describe his relationship with Sabrina. After a while, he answered, "Nothing special."

"Nothing special, but you asked me to help?"

Nelson smiled faintly and had to admit, "It's my wife's brooch."

Simon was genuinely happy for Nelson. Back then, to get Simon to make an engagement ring for his beloved, Nelson was bossed around for a whole year without a single complaint. Simon was truly touched by that.

"Find some time to bring your beloved out so I can see what kind of woman she is to have captured your heart so completely."

"I haven't found her yet." Naturally, he hadn't given her the ring either.

Simon was shocked for a moment. He then patted Nelson's hand. "Some things are not up to you when you're born into the Tucker family."

"You don't have to sugarcoat it."

"Fine, then. I won't. Between your wife and your beloved, whom will you choose?"

"My beloved is the light of my life. I will never forget her, and I'm willing to pay any price to see her again."

As for him and Sabrina, they would be divorced after a while.

After his meeting with Simon, Nelson returned home to find Sabrina sitting on the couch, waiting for him. Her luggage was by her side. It was obvious that she had just returned.

"Welcome back."

When Sabrina saw the brooch box in his hand, she felt her chest tighten. She stood up and said, "You've set me up."

Nelson didn't deny it. He sat down. "Take it off."
