Chapter 114
Nolan’s POV
As Luca and I sat in the quiet room, a sense of calm began to settle over us. The shock and urgency of the last few hours had momentarily faded, replaced by a tentative peace.
Luca looked at me with a gentle curiosity, his eyes reflecting the concern and care he felt for me. Those eyes similar to my own are so familiar and comforting.
“Nesta,” he began slowly, “can you tell me about your relationship with Nolan? I’ve heard bits and pieces, but I want to understand it fully. And with the way he forcefully took you away? I still hate him for that.”
I hesitated for a moment; gathering my thoughts. “Nolan and I… it’s complicated,” I said, taking a deep breath.
“We started off in a difficult place. There was so much pain and misunderstanding between us. But `over time, things changed.”
“He’s done so much for me, even things I didn’t know about until recently. He shut down Leon’s pack, you know? He did that for me because he knew how much they hurt me.”
Luca nodded; listening intently. “He cares about you deeply.”
I smiled softly, feeling a warmth in my chest. “He does. And I care about him too. In fact, I think I’m falling in love with him. He makes me feel safe and cherished, and he’s been so supportive, especially now with the baby.”
Luca’s expression was thoughtful. “And Rowan?” he asked gently. “You mentioned you still have feelings for him. How does he fit into all of this?”
I sighed, looking down at my hands. “Rowan… he’s different. Our history is tangled and painful. When I first met him, I was drawn to him in a way I couldn’t explain.”
“But things got complicated. There was betrayal, hurt, and a lot of unresolved feelings. Yet, despite everything, I can’t seem to let go of what I feel for him.”
Luca leaned back, taking in my words. “Tell me more,” he encouraged. “How do Rowan now?”
you feel about
I bit my lip, trying to find the right words. “When Rowan and I are together, it’s intense. There’s a connection that’s hard to ignore. But it’s also painful. I’m constantly torn between my feelings for him and the hurt he caused me.”
“I see glimpses of the man he used to be, and it makes me wonder if we could ever find our way back to each other. But then I remember the pain, and it scares me.”
Luca nodded, his gaze steady. “It sounds like you’re caught between two very different relationships, each with its own challenges and rewards.”
I nodded, feeling a lump in my throat. “Exactly. And now, with the baby… I don’t know what to do. I want to explore what I have with Nolan, but I can’t deny that I still have feelings for Rowan. It’s tearing me apart.”
Luca reached out and took my hand, his grip reassuring. “Nesta, you have to follow your heart. It’s not going to be easy, and there will be times when you doubt yourself. But you deserve to be happy. You deserve to be with someone who makes you feel loved and valued.”
I looked at him, my eyes filling with tears. “What if I make the wrong choice? What if I hurt one of them?”
Luca squeezed my hand. “You can’t predict the future, but you can be honest with yourself and with them. They both care about you deeply, and they’ll understand if you need time to figure things out. Don’t rush your decision. Take the time you need to explore your feelings and understand what you truly want.”
His words were comforting, a balm to my troubled heart. “Thank you, Luca,” I whispered. “I needed to hear that.”
He smiled warmly. “Anytime, Nesta. Just remember, you’re not alone in this. You have people who care about you, who want to see you happy. Your family. Trust yourself, and everything will fall into place.”
As we sat there, I felt a renewed sense of hope. I knew the road ahead would be difficult, but with the support of my friends and family, I was ready to face it.
And for the first time in a long while, I felt a glimmer of confidence that I would find my way, I have a family. A FAMILY of my own.
The evening sun cast a warm glow over the room as Luca and I continued to talk, the shadows lengthening on the walls.
The door creaked open, and I turned to see Nolan and Rowan stepping in. Relief washed over me at the sight of them, their expressions a mix of concern and determination.
“Nesta,” Nolan said softly, crossing the room in a few quick strides.
He enveloped me in a tight hug, and I felt the tension in my body ease. Rowan stood close by, his eyes scanning my face for any sign of distress.
I could see the worry etched in his features, and it tugged at my heart. He doesn’t want to interrupt or act like he is overdoing it.
“We were so worried about you,” Rowan said, his voice low and sincere. “Are you okay?”
I nodded, tears welling up in my eyes. “I’m fine, just a little shaken up. But I’m so glad you’re here.”
Luca stood up, his gaze shifting between Nolan and Rowan. He squared his shoulders, his expression hardening. He looks every inch the alpha that he is.
“Nolan, Rowan, I need to talk to you both, he said, his tone firm.
Nolan glanced at Luca, his brow furrowing in confusion. “What is it, Luca?”
Luca took a deep breath, his eyes blazing with resolve. “I want you to know that if you don’t treat Nesta well, I won’t hesitate to fight you both tooth and nail to protect her. She is my sister. She deserves nothing less than the best, and I’ll make sure she gets it.”
The room fell silent, the weight of Luca’s words hanging in the air. I looked at him, touched by his fierce protectiveness.
Tears spilled down my cheeks, and I wasn’t sure if it was the hormones or the overwhelming emotion of the moment. Goddess, such a wreck.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Nolan’s expression softened, and he reached out to take my hand. “Luca, you have my word. I will always&reat Nesta with the love and respect she deserves. She means everything to me.”
Rowan stepped forward, his gaze earnest. “I feel the same. We both want what’s best for her. We’ll do everything we can to make sure she’s happy and safe.”
Luca studied them for a moment, then nodded, his stance relaxing slightly. “Good. Because she’s been through enough, and she deserves to be cherished.”
I couldn’t hold back the tears any longer. “Thank you, Luca,” I whispered, my voice choking with emotion. “It means so much to me that you care.”
He gave me a small smile, his eyes softening. “Of course, Nesta. You’re family now. I’ll always be here for you.”
Nolan pulled me into another hug, his touch gentle and reassuring. “We’re taking you home now, Nesta. We’ve got you.”
As we walked out of the room together, I felt a renewed sense of hope and strength. The love and support from Nolan, Rowan, and even Luca bolstered my spirits.
Despite the chaos and uncertainty, I knew I wasn’t alone. We would face whatever challenges came our way together, and I had faith that we would find our way through.
