Chapter 153: Vicious Plan
Giselle's POV
My shoulders heaved as I slumped to the floor, struggling to catch my breath after Killian had left the room, locking the door behind me.
I heard him say a few words to the omegas, telling them not to let me leave the room and report to him if I had escaped.
He is really serious about confining me inside this room until I give birth.
My hands trembled uncontrollably at my sides as his harsh words still echoed in my mind. His chilling threat that he would take my life if he ever discovered that I had been deceiving him.
The fear coursing through my veins was overwhelming, but I knew I couldn't let it consume me.
With great effort, I forced myself to take one long, slow breath, willing my body to calm down. I clenched my trembling fists tightly in a desperate attempt to make them stop.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
'No,' I thought determinedly, that's not going to happen. I wouldn't couldn't let Killian carry out his threat. I had come too far; I risked too much to let it all end like this.
I squared my shoulders and rose unsteadily to my feet. I have to stick to my plans, especially now that the stakes have become high.
My legs felt weak, but my resolve was unwavering. I will do whatever it takes to keep Killian from finding out the truth.
Killian and Astrid will not destroy everything I have fought so hard to achieve.
You will see Killian. Once the DNA results are out, you will regret all the words you told me today. You would regret the way you treated me, and you would realize that I was the only person you could trust.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I carefully sat in front of my vanity table. As soon as I saw my reflection, Killian's words echoed inside my head like a broken recorder.
"Where is the kind and gentle woman that I've known who would never harm anybody?"
A terse smile formed on my lips as I stared at the woman in front of me with cold eyes.
He is the reason why I turned out like this. he promised me that he would make me his Luna, and then he broke his promise. While I was at my lowest, his parents drove me out of the Pack, and I was left with nowhere to go. I thought I was going to become a Luna. I thought I was going to have a bright future. However, in the end, they destroyed my life instead.
It's because of him that I turned out like this.
He has no idea how much I suffered, how I scavenged for food in the wild just to survive. He has no idea how many times I nearly escaped death and how difficult my life was when I became the lowest omega in the Pack.
He made me realize how frightening it is to be a nobody. I worked so hard. I worked hard to get everything that I had so I would no longer have to suffer like I had before.
The woman that he is looking for is gone. She died. A woman like that can't survive in the real world.
Right now, all that's left in me is the determination to reach my goal. I was just taking back what is supposedly mine.
Astrid ruined everything.
"Luna, here's your food," Rhya, one of my assistants, spoke softly behind me as she entered my room.
I softly picked up my hairbrush on my vanity table and started combing my hair, ignoring her completely.
Rhya quietly walked behind me after she had placed my food on my table and bowed her head before she left.
Before she could turn around, I called her attention. "I need you to send a message for me," I spoke calmly as I untangled my hair with the brush.
"You must deliver my message to Alpha Damien of the Crimsonbane Pack in secret," I explained to her.
She nodded her head. "I got it, Luna."
Rhya is an expert in things like this. She has a lot of connections with the Pack Warriors and other Pack Omegas.
She also gets her news from her connections, which is why she was able to report updates to me on time, like when Astrid was also in Emberwood Pack and when Drystan offended a lot of Alphas.
With her reports, I was able to make some plans.
As an omega, there's no way anyone would suspect her, which makes her valuable to me.
If she can get news from her connections, she can ask for favors from them as well.
"Just tell Alpha Damien that there is a change of plans. Inform him of my situation. If he wants his daughter alive and well, then he must think of something," I spoke nonchalantly as I placed back my brush on the table.
Rhya looked surprised when she heard my words. When I stood up to face her, she looked frozen on the spot.
"Rhya, have you heard what I said?" I asked her, pulling her out of her reverie.
"Y-Yes, Luna," she answered before she exited my room.
Alpha Damien and I had already come up with a plan before. He was forced to work with me when I threatened her with our daughter's life. However, now that I was confined in this room, we had to change our plans.
Damien knows that I wouldn't hesitate to kill his daughter if he fails to fulfill my replacement.
It's a win-win situation for me. If he fails to give me the substitute child, I could just kill the baby; in that way, Killian wouldn't be able to perform the DNA test, and he wouldn't know the thing.
