Chapter 39 

Chloe’s face turned pale again. 

What she said was clearly an excusel Couldn’t Lance figure that out? 

And she was dressed in a tight–fit dress with high heels. There was no way she could play dodge ball in a dusty field. with these soldiers! 

She would look like a complete idiot! 

“No,” Chloe forced a smile. “No thank you…” 

“We can use one more person on our team.” Kaelan chimed in and said, “Miss Chloe, I heard that you are a noble in Silver Blade Pack. Surely you have a very strong wolf. So to meet your standard, we will use a better ball next round.” 

He picked up another ball from the ground. 

It looked 5 times larger than the ball that they were using before. It almost had the size of a watermelon! 

Chloe had no doubt that her skull would be cracked open if that hit her! 

“You must be mistaken…” Chloe stammered, “I am no noble and my wolf is not that strong either…” 

“Oh, is that so?” Kaelan raised his eyebrow. “But I heard you call yourself the Silver Blade Pack’s princess. So I thought you must have royal blood, like our Gamma Aurora does. Otherwise, why would you call yourself that?” 

Everyone from Ever Moon Pack snickered. 

Chloe seemed as though she wanted to jump at Kaelan and scratch his face with her long nails. But she also wanted to maintain her grace in front of Lance. 

Her face twisted in a mixture of rage and embarrassment. 

“Miss Chloe, you must excuse my soldiers.” Lance smiled idly, “Sometimes they are too straightforward with the truth. And I insist you to join us for the next round of dodge ball. It will be fun.” 

He stuck out his hand to Chloe, looking at her eagerly.

Chloe backtracked with an awkward smile.

Chapter 39 

“I–I will see you later!” 

She ran, staggering along the way in panic. She even tripped on her dress. 

All of her friends and servants followed her and fled in disorder, knocking over chairs and breaking teacups. 

“What a bunch of clowns!” 

Rivena snorted. And she turned to Aurora: 

“Do you think this will teach her a lesson?” 

Aurora shook her head, “Chloe NEVER learns her lesson.” 

She narrowed her eyes at Chloe, whose back was disappearing into the distance. 

“Let’s just wait and see what more circus plays she has.”

Chloe stormed into her house in rage. 

“MOM-” she screamed while dashing across the living room, “DAD” 

A maid was scrubbing the floor in the hallway. Chloe rushed at her before she could move aside and gave a hard kick at her bucket furiously. 

“Move aside you dumb ass! Can’t you see that your master is home?!” 

The maid looked up, quivering in fear. Her whole body was covered in filthy water from the bucket, but she didn’t dare to say a word. 

This maid was Jenny, the very person who help Chloe expel Aurora. 

But Chloe didn’t reward her afterwards as she had promised. Instead, afraid that Jenny may tell someone her secret, Chloe moved her from the palace to the Ravenwood’s household and demoted her. 

“Where the hell is my parents!” Chloe snarled at Jenny. 

“I–I don’t know…” 

The door to the study opened up and Hellen rushed out urgently. 

“What is the matter now? I thought you went over to the training field today. Did Alpha Lance totally love you?” 

“He did! But-”

Chapter 39 

Chloe bit her lips with tears forming in her eyes. 

A few seconds later, she burst into loud wailing:

“It was that BITCH Aurora again! And her dumb ass soldiers! They–they ganged up on mel How could they do this 

Hellen frowned and too Chloe to sit with her in the living room. 

“Quick. Tell me exactly what happened.” 

Chloe choked and repeated everything that happened today. 

“…And then she pulled out a ball almost the size of a watermelon and invited me to play!” Chloe finished up, sobbing. “She definitely wants me dead!” 

Hellen gritted her teeth, “That bitch Aurora…we raised her, fed her and provided a roof over her head for almost 20 years! And that is how she treated her sister?! Those rogues should have ripped her fucking throat open 6 months ago!” 

“But she is alive now!” Chloe cried in tears, “Alive and with more power! She will keep messing never get to be Damien’s Luna. This has to stop!” 

With me and I will 

“I know my darling, I know. But we have talked about this. As long as she still has Alpha Lance’s support, we can’t 

touch her.” 

Hellen cupped Chloe’s face fondly. 

“You said that Alpha Lance defended you in front of Aurora and he invited you to train with him. So one thing we know for sure is that he is not that into Aurora. And you totally have a shot. Just find him in private again and-” 

“No!” Chloe blurted out without thinking. 

“No?” Hellen frowned, “I thought you want to do this.” 

“I do. And he totally has a big crush on me. It is just…” 

Chloe hesitated. 

Her mind drifted back to the awkward moment that she had on the training field. 

She really didn’t want to face Lance again after that! 

And she also didn’t want to admit that she made a total fool of herself.

So after a little pause, Chloe mumbled: 

“On second thought, I don’t think that I am fit to do these dirty works, especially as the Silver Blade Pack’s future Luna. And Damien loves me too much. If he hears that I am hanging out with Lance, it will totally break his heart.” 

Hellen pondered a little bit and nodded, “You are right darling. It is not worthy to risk your reputation over that little skunk Aurora. So who should we send to seduce Alpha Lance?” 

“Do you have anyone in the house you can trust, mom?” Chloe asked, “Someone with a good face and knows her way around men?” 

“Hold on sweetie…let me think…” 

“I can do it.” 

Chloe and Hellen both turned around. 

A woman was standing by the corner and looking at them nervously. 

It was Jenny. 

She walked out from the corner and stood in front of them. Although in fear, she raised her ginger head up and 

said: 

“Let me help you one more time, Miss Chloe.”
