Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 786

The door opened, and the new arrival paused when they saw Nathalie, clearly caught off guard. She shot a curious look back at the elegant woman lounging on the sofa.

Nathalie noticed her too. Despite the woman's graceful and aloof demeanor, she was wearing a laid-back outfit-just a comfy sweatshirt and pants from a popular, well-loved Western brand known for its bang-for-buck products. The only giveaway of her high status was the massive pink diamond wedding ring on her finger.

With a bright smile, Nathalie walked over. The staff member who had let her in introduced her. "This is Mrs. Scottie, the boss's wife. You can discuss the project details with her."

Sarah crossed her legs and gave Nathalie a once-over. "Are you Miss Vivian?"

Nathalie was taken aback. It was the first time someone she didn't know had recognized her. Was her reputation really spreading that much?

"Yes, ma'am."

"I'm sorry, but if you're here looking to partner with us, I'd suggest you make a left and find another firm. Scottie & Co. isn't taking on new clients this year."

Nathalie felt a wave of gratitude towards Paige for the heads-up. In those fleeting moments, she'd already come up with a plan. Looking Sarah straight in the eye, she said, "Sarah, with all due respect, in this world where reputations can crash overnight, Scottie & Co. should consider potential partners from multiple angles."

Sarah's calm demeanor cracked, and she shot back, "What's that supposed to mean? Are you questioning my partner's integrity? But Vivian, you don't even know who I'm teaming up with, so how can you make such claims?"

Sarah didn't kick her out right away, nor did she use silence as a weapon. Nathalie sensed an opening. She smiled, "Didn't Sarah just promise the Rowland family that Scottie & Co. will be exclusively working with them for the next six months, not taking on any outside clients?"

Sarah's eyes widened in shock. Nathalie knew the details of her recent agreement with Paige-how could that be?

Nathalie casually added, "I bumped into Paige at the door, and she filled me in."

Sarah was taken aback by her friend's loose lips.

Nathalie pushed further, stirring the pot. "Seems like Sarah doesn't really know her best friend as well as she thought. But I get it. It's curious how you and Paige, with such different values, became besties. Quite a

twist."

Sarah wasn't pleased, "Who says our values are different?"

Nathalie played her trump card. "Paige is all about high-end designer clothes and flashy, royal-like jewelry, flaunting wealth. That screams vanity and a love for money and fame."

She paused, then continued, "Sarah, you're different. You dress for comfort. Your wedding ring symbolizes eternal love, showing you're deep and grateful."

Sarah's eyes widened even more, clearly impressed by Nathalie's sharp observations. Yet she held her ground, "Hmph, I've heard you're just a street-smart girl, no formal

education, clueless about the upper crust's games. Is this all just made up?"

Nathalie calmly pulled out a business card from her bag, laying out her mentors,

her alma mater, and her career highlights.
