Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 284

"The morning of the day after tomorrow."

Naomi considered for a moment, then finally said, "Alright then. I can bring you out for food tomorrow night, too."

She did not want to request any days off from work the next day. Her schedule had been packed the moment she arrived in Herland, and some of her work had gotten delayed as a result of her injury. Therefore, now that her foot had recovered, she wanted to catch back up with her work as best as she could.

This meant that, unfortunately, she would only have time for Charles during her lunch break and after work.

Charles smiled. "Don't worry, Naomi. I can explore Herland by myself tomorrow, and you can show me around town once you're free. It's no problem at all."

"Okay."

The two of them stepped out of the elevator on Charles' floor. Charles brought Naomi to his room, where he unpacked his suitcase and handed her the stuff he had brought for her. "These are some clothes that your mother packed for you. She was worried you wouldn't have enough clothes. Since you had not been planning on staying in Herland for so long, she packed you some extras."

Naomi glanced at the bag that Charles handed her. There were about two or three outfits neatly folded in the bag.

She had packed about three different outfits, and since the hotel provided dry cleaning service, she could easily wash and dry her clothes each day. She would send her dirty laundry out for dry cleaning in the morning. By the time she returned in the evening, it would be cleaned and neatly folded, waiting for her in her room.

Naomi hand-washed her intimates herself and hung them out to dry in the hotel bathroom. Although she had gotten injured prior, she was still able to perform simple tasks like this, so she did not run out of clean clothes to wear.

Now that Donna had sent Charles over with more clean clothes, she had more than enough to wear.

All of a sudden, Charles brought out another bag and said to her, "These are the snacks you like. Mrs. Goodwin was worried you wouldn't find anything you like here, so she asked me to bring you some of your favorites."

Naomi glanced at the bag. It was full of all her favorite snacks, some of which were local Horizon City delicacies one could never find in Herland.

She took out a box and opened it. It

was filled with crackers, perfectly round and lined up neatly in a row within the box. She wrapped one in a tissue and handed it to Charles "Try this, Charles. These are some of my favorite rice crackers. I've been eating this since I was a kid."

Charles, like Naomi, had never been a picky eater, but unlike Naomi, he did not have any particular food he liked or disliked.

However, he had a feeling he would like this even before he tasted it, simply because Naomi was the one who gave it to him.

"Okay." He took a bite of the cracker.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

It was crunchy on the outside but chewy and flavorful on the inside. was unlike anything he had ever eaten before. He could not seem to put a finger on the exact taste, but it was special, and he enjoyed it very much.

Just like Naomi, she was unlike any woman he had ever met before, but she was special.

Charles turned back to Naomi, who was staring at him with an expectant look. He nodded in agreement. "It's delicious."

Naomi's entire face broke out into a smile. She picked up a rice cracker of her own and took a bite. "I love this. I think it's one of the best things I've ever had."

She was smiling like always, but it was a different kind of smile. At that moment, she was grinning from ear to ear, as fresh as a summer breeze. Charles froze at this. He had never seen her smile like this before. It was as though she had been brought back to her carefree, innocent childhood. Charles' heart began to race at the sight of her childlike smile.
