Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1741

Chapter 1741

Tina noticed that the atmosphere had become a little strange, and she reflected upon it.

Very quickly, Abby's stiffness disappeared. She gently changed the topic and said, "Auntie, I haven't seen granny for a long time. We can buy some syrup which she loved the most in the midway!"

Lin nodded and said, "Well... You're very thoughtful!"

Then, she asked, "By the way, Ab by, why did you come here earlier?"

Abby explained, "The opening ceremony of Susan's studio is held today. I think I should come here personally to congratulate her. Besides, I'll need to go to the Chin's Group this afternoon!"

At the end of her words, Abby deliberately softened her tone.

The marriage between the Chin family and the Amery family had become publicly known, and Lin also knew about it. However, Lin seldom took part in the management affairs of the Amery's Group and rarely asked for details of the marriage. For this reason, she didn't know the real inside story of it.

Lin laughed. "After we pick up your granny, she and I will go back home. Then, you can do your own things. Don't worry, we won't go with you and supervise your date with Wilson!"

Abby blinked her eyes, and she looked shy and happy.

Tina clenched her fists silently.

Lin stood up from the sofa and smiled at Tina. "Miss Hall, please tell Susan that Abby and I will be leaving!"

"Okay!" Tina nodded.

Lin added, "See you next time!"

Tina nodded and sent them out of the office on behalf of Susan. "Lin, Miss Amery, goodbye. See you next time!"

After the door of the elevator was closed, Tina turned around and returned to the design room to look for Susan.

Susan asked her, "Tina, have Lin and Abby left?"

"Yes!" Tina nodded.

When she noticed that Susan was not in a good mood, she asked with concern, "Susan, are you alright?"

"I'm fine! But you may have noticed that I'm not getting along well with Abby Amery!" said Susan.

Tina nodded and asked tentatively, "Why's that?"

In her impression, Abby had always been a young lady who was often wearing a smile on her face. She was graceful and friendly at the same time. Her educational background was quite good, and her disposition was nice. Someone like her was not supposed to have conflicted with others.

However, Tina still remembered what Abby had said to her the other day when they met in the cafe.

Through Abby s words, Tina realized that Abby was definitely not that nice and harmless as she appeared to be. She was indeed very shrewd and tactical.

Susan looked at her. "Tina, would you believe me if I tell you that Abby had once plagiarized my design work?"

Tina was stunned.

After two seconds of silence, she nodded. "I will believe you!"

It wasn't that Tina's judgment was biased against Abby. It was just that after knowing Susan for so long a time, Tina was quite familiar with her temperament. In her mind, Susan was a simple-minded and honest woman.

Most importantly, just like Tina, Susan thought very highly of costume design.

Seeing that Tina believed in her, Sanda let out a sigh of relief.

She felt relaxed when she began to share her story with Tina, "It happened many years ago. I was recruited as the assistant of Lin after graduation. Lin never had any disciples, but I could learn a lot from her by serving as her assistant!

"As we all know, the Grand Fashion Design Contest is not only very famous in the costume design industry, but also is very influential in the whole Asian area. It is a stepping stone for any designer who aspires to become a member of the circle of distinguished designers. If you are lucky enough to win the prize, you will be recognized by the circle!"

Tina had a rough idea of what had happened after hearing this. "You and Miss Amery were participants?"

"It's true!" Susan nodded.

She clenched her fists. So many years had passed, yet she was still so angry. It could thus be seen how deeply Abby had hurt her.

Susan gritted her teeth and said, "I've been working hard as the assistant of Lin for so many years. My only goal was to win the championship, but the night before the finals...

Abby came over to chat with me, and after that, I lost a few design drawings. The next day, in the finals, the work she designed was exactly the same as my design! She had plagiarized and stole my design idea!"

Tina was also a little angry when she heard Susan's story.

For designers, their design works were just like their own children.

Plagiarizing others' design ideas would be like stealing their children, something which would result in heart-wrenching pain.

Susan clenched her fist even tighter. She shook her head and said, "But I didn't have any evidence that Abby had plagiarized my design idea, and I didn't have my name printed on Abb's design work. I was unwilling to submit to such kind of unfair competition. Then, Lin intervened in the dispute between us!

She believed that what I said was true. Back then, I had consulted her and asked her to comment on my design ideas. However, she pleaded with me on behalf of Abby. She said that Abby was too young and too naive. Once the fact that she had plagiarized my design ideas was confirmed, she would never be able to enter the circle of distinguished designers again! In the end, I quit the comtest..."

At that time, Abby was only about 20 years old, and had not graduated yet.

She was alleged to be the youngest participant of the contest, while the family background of the Amery family was the spotlight of media attention. If the scandal of plagiarization was confirmed, it would not only be very detrimental to her career development, but also to the reputation of the Amery family.

Even though Lin disliked Abby s disgraceful deed of plagiarization, and she even felt that it was an insult to her professionalism of costume design, yet for the sake of her husband and mother-in-law, as well as Abby s tears and regrets, Lin was out of choice but to defend Abby's reputation.

Lin appeased Susan and tried to make up for the latter's loss in the contest. Through her own network of human relations, Lin brought Susan into the circle of distinguished designers, giving her an opportunity to develop her abilities. Finally, Susan became an outstanding costume designer.

Susan's eyes were full of disdain and mockery. "What a genius girl who won the championship of the Grand Fashion Design Contest at the age of 20!

Abby Amery is holding the record of the youngest designer champion in the history of the grand contest... These are all fake! I'll look down on her all my life!" Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Tina held up Susan's hand.

She had not expected that there would be so many disputes between Susan, Abby, and Lin.

No matter how outstanding Abby was now, what she had done in the past was indeed very disgraceful.

To put it more bluntly, she was not worthy of being a distinguished designer at all.

Susan sighed. She felt much better after venting out her anger. She then shrugged. "Forget it. It's easy to forget what happened in the past, but it's more difficult for me to forgive Abby!"

Tina nodded. "I understand!"

After the opening ceremony ended, Tina left the studio in the afternoon.

As soon as she came out of the elevator, her mobile phone rang.

It was from a strange phone number.

Tina picked it up in confusion. "Hello?"

At the other end of the line, a gentle voice sounded. "Miss Hall? This is Wilson's mother!"

Tina was surprised.

She couldn't understand what had happened for a moment. "Mrs. Chin, how are you doing?"

Meadow replied with a smile, "I'm fine. Miss Hall, are you free now? If you are free, would you like to drink a cup of coffee with me?"

Tina was even more astonished and bewildered by Meadow's words.

She thought that it would be inappropriate to refuse Meadow's kind invitation. "Well... I'll go there. Please send me the address!"

An hour later, Tina arrived at a Korean coffee shop in the downtown area.

As the glass door was pushed open, Tina could hear the pleasant tune of wind bell.

Tina quickly walked to a seat by the window with the bag in her hand.

The premise of the studio rented by Susan was located in the south of the city. Although it was quiet and comfortable, it was also relatively remote from the downtown area. It cost Tina a lot of time to go to the coffee shop, because of the long distance and traffic jams.

As soon as Tina got off of the taxi, she saw that Meadow was sitting in her seat and waiting for her.
