Chapter 1670

We're a Family

Tina nodded and entered the villa with him.

Aspry knew she was coming, so he was waiting in the living room early.

Dylan handed the fruit basket to the servant, took Tina to the sofa, and sat down.

Since the last time they briefly greeted each other at the grand engagement party, Tina had never seen Aspry again. At the party, he looked better than today; perhaps it was he was happy at that time.

Their conversation was interrupted several times when he coughed.

Tina said with concern, "You should take good care of yourself!"

Aspry took two sips of water and his breath became even. He smiled amiably and said, "When I was young, I fought too hard, so many parts of my body went wrong as I was getting old! But I'm fine and is in a good state of mind!"

"Good!" Tina nodded.

Aspry said, "You know what, every time I see you, I feel much happier!"

Tina couldn't help being moved. "Don't

worry. If I have time, I will come to see you often!"

Aspry nodded with relief and said, "Well, I know you are the most sensible one!"

He stretched out his hands and took Tina's and Dylan's hands, respectively He said emotionally, "Tina, your mother entrusted me to take care of you before her death. Although this is just a friend's request, I have always treated you as my child since you came to my family. Anyway, we are still a family!"

Dylan echoed, "Yes, we're a family!"

There was a meaningful look in his eyes.

His hand fell on Tina's.

Tina pursed her lips."..."

She nodded slightly and slowly withdrew her hand from his grasp.

Dylan wasn't upset, and even smiled more gently at her.

The atmosphere of dinner had been very pleasant.

However, the good time didn't last long. When the dinner was almost over, Aspry got up and went to the bathroom, and someone came to the porch.

The maid greeted respectfully, "Madam, you're back!"

Then, they saw Lilith, who was dressed

splendidly, walking in.

When she saw Tina sitting at the table, her face fell all of a sudden. "Why are you here?"

Tina remained umoved.

Dylan stood up and asked with a frown, "Mom, why did you come back so early? I thought you would back late when hanging out with other madams." Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Lilith gritted her teeth and said, "One of us had to deal with a family affair, so our gathering ended early!"

After dressing up in the afternoon, she went out to meet some noble ladies. She wanted to enhance their links. After all, the cancellation of the engagement had some harmful impact on the Koo family.

However, something happened that ended their gathering earlier than expected.

Fortunately, she came back early. Otherwise, Lilith would not know that her husband and son deliberately invited Tina into the house while she was away.

Since Aspry was not in the dining room, Lilith had no intention to cover her mean attitude. "Tina, answer me. Why are you here?"

Dylan answered in a deep voice, "I brought her home for dinner!" "..." Lilith was struck dumb. Tina stood up from the chair and picked up the bag next to her. She said coldly, "Since the meal is over, I won't stay any longer! Dylan, please me say goodbye to your father for me!"

After that, she walked out.

Dylan followed her and said, "Okay, I'll drive you home!"

Out of the villa, Dylan explained to her, "Tina, sorry, I didn't know my mom would come back early. You don't have to pay attention to her. She..."

Tina shook her head. "Don't worry. I won't!"

Even before she entered the door, she had decided that she would not bother herself arguing with Lilith.

Tina glanced outside of the courtyard and said, "I can go back myself. It's not too late now. It's convenient to take a taxi!"

As night fell, there were taxi drivers passing by the door from time to time.

Before Dylan could speak, she had raised her hand and stopped a taxi.

Dylan had to say, "Be careful on your way!"

Tina nodded and got into the car. "Okay! Goodbye!"

When the taxi was out of his sight, Dylan entered the villa.

After Aspry came out of the bathroom and learned that Tina had left, he felt a little lost. He nodded and went to the living room to watch TV.

Dylan went upstairs directly.

Lilith impatiently followed him. Behind her husband's back, she asked eagerly, "Why did you bring Tina home again? It's okay for you to cancel the engagement with Selene, but do you still want to be with Tina?"

However, Dylan didn't stop to talk to her.

Lilith was trying her best to convince him. "Listen to me, Dylan. I'm doing this for your good! You abandoned Selene, a perfect wife for you, and went back to be with Tina, who is far inferior! You and Selene are a matched couple, not with Tina! I will never accept her as my daughter-in-law!"

Dylan suddenly stopped.

The relationship between them had always been good, so it was a big blow to him when he learned that Lilith planned the plot against Tina five years ago. After all, he was always respectful to and loved his mother.

If it were someone else, Dylan would definitely let them pay the price.

But it was his mother who did this.

He couldn't take revenge on his mother, so he was very disappointed.

He clenched his fists and said with a cold face, "Whatever you want, I have made up

my mind!"

Lilith was unwiling to give up.

"Dylan, Dylan..."

Dylan slammed the door shut as a response to her.

Lilith, feeling a great sense of crisis, was in a panic.

She couldn't help but feel a deep loathing for Tina when she thought of her humble status compared to Selene.

She had put in so much effort to separate them and had never thought that her scheme would be exposed five years later! Now that her son fell in love with Tina again, she was at a loss what to do...

What should she do?

The Koo family's villa was located in the rich area while the house of the Chin family was at a much better place.

The Chin family's villa was built on the riverside, and not everyone was allowed to live in this area. There were guards on patrol every few hundred meters on the private road outside.

It was also because the villa was close to the riverside that the air here was particularly good at night.

Wilson sat on a bench in the yard with his eyes closed. He put his glasses aside and rubbed his forehead to relax.

As the night wind blew, the hem of his white shirt fluttered.

Someone suddenly patted him on the shoulder.

Wilson raised his head and smiled when he saw the coming person. "Mom!"

Meadow wore a new cheongsam with a small round collar and a simple pearl necklace. She sat next to him with a cup of scented tea in her hand. With a light smile, she looked particularly graceful.

Because of the rain in the morning, the temperature dropped a little. Meadow put a silk shawl on her shoulder and asked, "Why are you sitting here alone? Aren't you afraid of catching a cold?"

"I'm fine!" Wilson shook his head.

Meadow said, "From upstairs, I saw that you seemed to be in a bad mood. Did you break up with someone?"

Wilson had nothing to say in reply.
