PREGNANT FOR THE BILLIONAIRE

Waiting fully dressed on the bed for Edde to come pick me I dialed my mom’s line but surprisingly she didn’t answer so I texted her, just as I was about calling Melanie my phone rang showing her caller ID making me grin excitedly and swiped to the answer icon.

“Hey Mel, I was about to call you and you coincidentally called, how are you doing and how are lectures going?” I asked in a wide smile as Mel took a deep breath. I’m sure that came with an eye roll.

“Well, college is becoming boring and I think I’m gonna drop out soon” she replied in a sigh as my mouth fell open with her crazy response.

“You’re better than that Melanie! We are fucking in our final year in college! It’s only a few months remaining for us to graduate, so why don’t you complete school and get the certificate… I wonder where you got this drop out idea from” I said in a frown as she hissed.

“What about Mrs Loxley? Have you started your online class?” She asked as I twitched my lips, it’s crazy that I haven’t even asked Edde about his plans about it.

“I haven’t started yet, tryna get used to the environment first”

“And Edde? How is he treating you?” She asked, making me almost choke on my breath.

“Uhm, Edde and I are coping quite well I must say” I lied, hopefully she believes and doesn’t push my button.

“Oh wow! Really didn’t expect such a reply” She said amusement filled in her voice as I heard Edde’s car honk and car screaming.

“I gotta go, Edde is here to take me to the hospital, I have an appointment with the doctor concerning my antenatal… Bye!” I blew kisses and ended the call as I grabbed my bag and headed to the mirror checking out myself. It’s quite crazy that Edde had to call me to pick an outfit for me!

Entering the car and slamming the door shut, I hissed in pain.

“Why are you limping?” Edde asked as I turned my head swiftly at him, does he really expect me to answer that question?

“I’m fine, let’s just go,” I said, staring out of the window as his eyes on me made me feel uncomfortable. He scoffed and shaked his head slightly, biting his lips.

“Elizabeth, is this all because of the sex? Did I hurt you?” He asked as I gulped at the awkwardness of his question.

“Even if it was, will you take the pains away in a finger snap or by fucking me again?” I asked, rolling my eyes at him as he hissed, turning the ignition switch.

The drive was a quiet one and it seemed like that was exactly what I needed! A fucking quiet drive but Edde kept stealing annoying glances at me.

Soon we got to the hospital, he drove into the driveway and packed at the lot as we got down and walked hand in hand inside with his hands wrapped around my waist “Edde, you’re holding me too tight, I’d really appreciate it if you free your hands from my waist” I said in whispers as we walked through the lobby with numerous eyes on us, I was just so happy that no one had us on camera because that makes me hell uncomfortable.

We got to the counter to see a skinny white lady going through some papers, she was obviously busy.

“Hi, we came to see Doctor Raphael. Is he in?” Edde asked calmly with an expression I could never explain.

“Hello Mr/Mrs Loxley, nice having you. The Doctor is in his office and he is expecting you” the lady said grinning from ear to ear which I wondered why she was so damn excited… I mean it’s obvious that she sees Edde alot “Ma’am please can you sign your autograph in my book?” She asked in a wide cheerful smile, dropping her book in front of me.

I looked down at the book nervously as I gulped hard in thought of what to sign, it was crazy to me hence I haven’t done this before but… Maybe I should use the font style I learnt from Mel and sign my name.

“Done” I said, shifting the book back to her as Edde pulled me out. I noticed how impatient he was all those while but he obviously endured to avoid spreading bad news of him being arrogant.

Sitting in the large white painted office of the doctor, Edde discussed how the antenatal will go and all just to make sure I’m comfortable at these times.

“Not to worry Mr Loxley, I will make sure your wife gets the best care ever and to achieve that I will get her a personal doctor to help her” the doctor said in a smile as we both nodded.

“I think that would be preferable” I said as the doctor picked his telephone and dialed a number “You can come in now” the doctor simply said as the door opened immediately, I and Edde turned towards the door as my eyes fell open and my mouth ajar. Isn’t this the guy from the mall? Edde’s eyes were focused on him and I could tell that he was trying to remember him.

“Wait! Are you the guy from the mall?” Edde asked harshly as the young man nodded, making Edde turn red in anger.

“Hope there is no problem Mr Loxley?” The doctor said as Edde turned swiftly to the doctor.

“Oh yes there is a problem!” Edde yelled.

“No there isn’t any problem” I corrected and gave a fake smile to the doctor who nodded as I turned to Edde “come on Edde you can’t still be thinking this far towards this man, I don’t know him and nothing is happening between us and nothing will happen so chill and let him do his job… Please don’t create a scene here” I pleaded in whispers as Edde turned back to the doctor who stood speechlessly by the door.

“Doctor Raphael, do you have any other doctor for Elizabeth?” Edde asked as the doctor shaked his head negatively.

“All our doctors are busy and we specially chose Doctor Alec for your wife because he is a devoted doctor and he will train her better”

“At least you would have gotten a female doctor for her,” Edde said angrily, sighing deeply.

“I get your fear Sir but you shouldn’t be scared, Alec is a very responsible man and will never make advances towards your wife” The doctor assured as Edde heaved a sigh of relief and stood up.

“Alright then, thanks for today she will be back tomorrow” Edde said as we headed out.

Throughout the drive back home I could tell that Edde wasn’t happy with Alec being my doctor, once we got back home he left me to the room, getting to the room I saw him walking to and fro of the room babbling audibly.

“Edde what’s wrong?” I asked as I sat on the bed pulling my head up in a bun.

“Elizabeth, don’t ever do what you did at the hospital ever again! Don’t you ever cut me short when I wanna talk, I took this lightly but next time you won’t like me… Really” he said as he threw his phone on the couch, I watched him confused by the level of his anger as he pulled off his clothes and walked into the bathroom.

I sighed deeply rolling my eyes to space as my belly grumbled loudly reminding me that I only ate in the morning and needed to eat more “yeah! I still have some bacons and eggs left, after a short sleep I will make something else for dinner” I mumbled as I helped myself up from the bed and headed to the door as Edde’s phone vibrated.

“Edde your phone got a notification!” I called out but he possibly didn’t hear me due to the running water noise, I grabbed the phone as my eyes caught the name that sent the text. “Who the heck did he save with a love emoji?” I mumbled, I thought of clicking on the text but hesitated, after a little thought I clicked on it curious to know his connection with the love emoji person.

On reading the first paragraph of the text I felt like I was choking on my breath.

“Love emoji”

Darling remember I’m coming to see you tomorrow, I was thinking if you could possibly send your wife to somewhere else so that we can have a loving time together, I haven’t had sex in a long time and I really want a rough sex… See you when I see you sweetie xoxo.

I read as tears streamed down my cheeks which I immediately wiped off “why am I crying?” I muttered throwing the phone back to the couch, he doesn’t love me and I am no longer clingy towards him like before so he can fuck around as he wants right?…

I felt so hurt knowing that Edde fucks another woman aside me, I hated myself for feeling bad but I couldn’t control the hurt and tears.

I quickly hurried out of the room once the running water sound stopped.
