Chapter 49
“What the hell is this? Who the hell will use my card?” Robert yelled in frustration.

Robert had just finished working on his computer when his phone vibrated. At first, he thought someone had messaged him, but it was actually a bank reminder.
“I’m at home. How the hell did I spend so much money?” Robert asked once more, with his brows furrowed.
It was all expenses that reached millions. He knew he wasn’t being scammed. Someone used his card and was aware of who used it. No other person, Robert, could point it out except John and Elisa.
“That gold digger…” Robert mumbled and tightened the way he held his phone.
Robert shook his head. He still had no confirmation, but John wouldn’t spend much money before. When Elisa arrived, he used two times bigger than usual.
“I underestimate this woman. I know she’s here for my money. She doesn’t need to tell me. This only proves….. Robert stared at her screen once again and heaved a sigh.
That amount spent was only too little compared to his savings. He wasn’t worried but furious that Elisa could spend much without him knowing.
“Charles! Where are you?!” Robert called him up.
In an instant, Charles entered the room and asked, “What is it, sir? Do you want me to go outside? Let me help you.”
When Charles was about to push the wheelchair Robert was sitting in, Robert waved his hand, stopping him from doing so.
“No. I just want to know where Grandpa is. Is he with Elisa, right?” Robert guessed, and if his guess was confirmed, he was right.
“Yeah. Your grandpa accompanied Elisa, and I’ve heard that they went shopping. Charles replied. “Why did you ask? Do you want them to buy something for you?”
“Is there anything wrong with asking?” Robert asked him back.
“No. I didn’t mean to tell that, sir, replied Charles,
“You may now leave, Robert added.
“Okay,” Charles said and left.
With that in mind, Robert suddenly felt his body ache. He closed his computer and listened to the audio file to calm down.
Upon hearing the audio, he finally calmed down and was at ease.
Since Eliza was not around, lie could only rely on the recording audio. However, he wouldn’t listen to the audio if she was physically present. Hearing her voice could already calm him down

Chapter 49-
However, keeping her with him would only make him uncomfortable, so he dismissed that idea.
“I know I can recover with or without her presence.” he mumbled.
‘Shit. This is bullshit life!‘ Olivia was furious as she stormed out of the mall. She forced herself not to sob about how she messed up and how she pushed Yan away from her instead of pushing him close to her.
This is all because of you, Elisa,” she mumbled.
Despite what happened, she still wanted to blame Elisa. She wouldn’t have been able to send Yan those photos if she hadn’t seen her.
She didn’t know where her feet had brought her. However, she came back to her senses as soon as she felt her phone vibrate in her hand.
Her mother’s lawyer called to inform her that she could now visit her at the detention cell. She was joyous and wasted no time going there to finally see her.
It wasn’t that far from the mall. She arrived and, unfortunately, could only talk with her mother through a glass window. Instead of being disheartened, she was still thankful.
Olivia sat, waiting for her mother to arrive. The door inside opened, and through the glass window, she glimpsed Suelen.
“Mom!” She exclaimed and was on cloud nine, seeing her.
Suelen wore the same clothes she had worn the night she was caught. Her hair was a bit messy, and she looked very pitiful.
“Mom….” Olivia mumbled again and couldn’t stop herself from crying. She was apprehensive about her situation inside.
“Come on, I am fine. Why are you crying?” Suelen wondered. “Did something happen to you?”
She shook her head and asked, “Nothing happened to me. Don’t worry about me. Worry about yourself.” She cleared her throat and continued, “Mom, tell me. Did you confess already? Don’t tell me you’re be jailed for years!”
She was worried and had no idea what would happen next.
“Nah, there’s nothing to worry about me. I can still get out someday. I still didn’t die for you to cry. Besides, you can always visit me,” said Suelen, trying to calm her down.
“Okay,” said Olivia.
Suelen was worried about confessing the truth that happened and scared her daughter would hate her the way Jorge did. She didn’t want that to happen.
“How about your father? Tell me how he’s doing now, and did he tell you something?” she asked, not wanting to sound like he was hiding something. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
“No, Olivia recalled. “He collapsed and is currently in the hospital. But don’t worry much. He’s doing fine.”

Suelen breathed a sigh of relief. At least he tried to conceal everything from Olivia.

“Remember this, Olivia. Since it’s still years before I can go out, please be good to your father, Suelen reminded her. “Please be good to him. Don’t let him be furious at you. Please try to do it, daughter. I’m not there to help me.”
“Yeah, mom. I will do it,” Olivia replied and nodded her head. “When can you get out? I will miss you”
“Two years. But don’t think about it much. I can get out, I know, Suelen assured.
Even if that was too long, Olivia nodded and had no choice but to wait.
As soon as Olivia remembered how her father acted, she couldn’t help but feel he still cared for Elisa.
“What’s happening to my father? Mom, I’m afraid he’ll abandon me. He seems to love Elisa,” she said. “That kidnapping incident seems to affect him most.”
“He does love you, Olivia, It’s just that he is not fine. So I want you to take care of him and show him you are a good daughter, Suelen reminded her. “Don’t let him feel regretful about his life choices.”
“I will do everything, Mom,” said Olivia.
However, Olivia remembered what had transpired in the mall.
“Mom, hear me out. I have something to tell you,” Olivia added.
“What is that?” Suelen asked, curious. “Tell me before my time limit of talking to you ends.”
“The man whom we let Elisa marry wasn’t poor. He’s somewhat rich. He wasn’t no longer in a coma but now aware!” Olivia admitted and regretted it.
Suelen’s eyes widened. “How did you know all of this? Maybe you are just wrong.
“Well, I witnessed with my own eyes how that man’s grandpa took Elisa to the mall. I even saw gold bars on her paper bag!” Olivia reported.
Suelen started to feel regretful about her decision and chose the wrong one. She was imprisoned, and Jorge wasn’t able to deal with it.
As soon as her daughter mentioned that Elisa married a man in a coma who was now conscious, she was stunned. Not only that, but he came from a wealthy family. She knew her imprisonment had to do with Elisa’s connection with the Fischer family.
‘It’s too late to regret, she thought. Only if she knew it beforehand, then she wouldn’t let those men kidnap Elisa, and she wouldn’t be imprisoned.
“With her status now, and while I am still in prison, don’t provoke her. As much as possible, avoid her, to avoid chaos,” Suelen told her.
“Well, then I have no choice but to follow what you said,” said Olivia, and she couldn’t wait for Elisa to be killed. “Forget about Elisa. Dad is still in the hospital. Maybe you have something to tell him. I’ll tell him when I visit him soon.”
Suelen sighed and heaved a sigh. She then said, “Just give him wildflowers for me.”

“And what else? Anything you want to tell?” Olivia asked.
“No. Just give him flowers. That will do,” said Suelen.
“Okay, mom. I will do it,” Olivia replied with a smile.
