Chapter 11 Let’s get married

Cora stood still as she couldn’t believe what her eyes just saw was Adia really kissing a man a while ago and the man really looked familiar as she stared at the goddamed beauty trying to remember where she has met him before.

“Adia what are you doing here” she finally asked as Adia immediately turned to face her “Cora!” Adia called nervously as Sebastian held a calm expression on his face.

“Adia what are you doing here and who’s he?” Cora asked as she pointed at Sebastian.

“Hey you must be Cora am Sebastian, my girlfriend over here has told me alot about you” Sebastian introduced himself nonchalantly as Adia shot daggers at him. ‘girlfriend!! when did I talk about Cora to him’ Adia wondered as she kept glancing at Sebastian.

“No, Cora there must be a misun….”

“Miss you must be Adia, please you have to come with me immediately, it’s urgent” a nurse came over as she announced the news to Adia.

“What’s the matter nurse?” Adia inquired as her heart raced, she hoped it had nothing to with Addison.

“It’s your sister miss, you have to come with me now” “Cora I’ll be right back” Adia said as she hurried away forgetting that she’s leaving Cora with Sebastian.

Silence reigned between Sebastian and cora before Sebastian finally broke the silence.

“I guess you have lot’s of questions to ask miss Cora?” Sebastian asked as his grey orbs turned scarlet red making Cora freeze with shock, she was right after all the face looked familiar.

“You know you can’t be together” Cora finally spoke out as she turned to face Sebastian.

“And am sure you know she’s pregnant?” Sebastian retorted as Cora froze for the third time today.

Little wonders she had been feeling something strange in Adia but couldn’t point her finger to what it was, now she was convinced about her suspicions.

“She’s human Sebastian Hunters, you and I know she can’t carry your child”.

“Cora Arthur what’s done is done, the only thing to do now is hope for the best” Sebastian stated as he leaned on his car.

“But she’ll die” Cora muttered painstakingly as the thought of losing Adia shattered her heart to pieces.

“I’ll figure out something soon to save her, but before then, you’re gonna help me with something” Sebastian told her in a ordering tune as Cora stared at him.

“Convince her to marry me, with that I’ll be able to keep a eye on her” Sebastian ordered as Cora inhaled deeply.

“Convince her, I should join you in deceiving my best friend” Cora blurted out in anger as Sebastian chuckled inwardly.

“Come to think of it, am not deceiving her am simply protecting her, you’re literally the one deceiving her over here, she doesn’t know you’re a vampire does she?” Sebastian smiled wryly as Cora just stood quietly.

“This’s not the time for who’s decieving who, just convince her in marrying me and I’ll take care of the rest” Sebastian concluded entering his car as he drove off leaving a confused Cora.

“Cora I was….” Adia stopped talking as she was suddenly interuptted by a hug from Cora, she hugged her back wondering what was wrong with her.

“I heard from the doctor about Addison’s condition and he told me that it’s so critical” cora stated as Adia nodded slowly.

“Yea that’s what I was told, he said Addison needs to be operated on or she’ll die, she just have less than a week Left”

Adia sobbed quietly as cora tried consoling her. “Adia, the only thing you can do now is marry Sebastian, he told me about everything, just get it done with so we can save Addison” cora tried persuading Adia hoping she would adhere to her advice.

“But Cora, you know…” “he really cares for you and I think you should agree to his proposal, Addison’s life’s at stake here” Cora continued as she felt really bad for lying to Adia, but there was nothing she could do about it.

“And you’re pregnant Adia, I know you would be surprised on how I Know about this but Sebastian has explained everything to me and the best option is marriage, besides you guys look good together” Cora gave out a dry laugh as Adia wiped a tear from her eyes.

“Cora don’t worry I’ll raise the money, just forget about Sebastian” Adia said reassuringly as she held both of Cora hands.

Adia shook her head disapprovingly as she thought on what Sebastian must have fed cora with that’s making her speak this way.

“Adia don’t forget your child, you have a baby to care of, you wouldn’t want your child to grow without a father do you?” Cora asked as Adia shook her head negatively.

“But Cora, I don’t want to, I’m not ready for that now” Adia argued as she really didn’t want to have anything to do with Sebastian.

She just wanted Addison to be treated then she would go faraway with Addison and her child.

“Think about it Adia” Cora persuaded as she hugged Adia tight as Adia sobbed while Cora tried consoling her.

Adia walked slowly as she approached a big company, she has just arrived at Sebastian’s company, Sha glanced at the big building before making her way In.

“Miss please do you have an appointment?” The receptionist asked as Adia flashed a little smile at her.

“Hmm not ready am here to see Sebastian” Adia muttered softly as the secretary glared at her, who was she to call the almighty Sebastian by his name, he was literally feared by everyone.

“I’m sorry miss but you can’t get in without an appointment, so if you would please excuse me” the receptionist said slightly rude as Adia tried aligning matters with her.

“But Sebastian told me to come over, you call his office he’s….”

“Miss I’d prefer if you kindly leave or I’ll call the security on you” the receptionist fired at her as the thought of calling Sebastian by his name infuriates her.

“But Sebastian…” “security” the receptionist yelled as some security men came running.

“Please throw this loser out” she ordered as they grabbed Adia.

“But Sebastian…” Adia stuttered as she struggled to set herself free.

“Just let me go, I can walk on my own”

“No don’t, throw her out, she might come back creating a nuisance here” she ordered angrily as they continued dragging a struggling Adia out.

“What the hell is going on here” a deep voice thundered as everyone stopped in their tracks.
