Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 849

Brad noticed Sebastian's cocky smile and had the urge to rip it off his face. But he

wasn't the kind of man who let his emotions get the better of him, and he certainly

wouldn't stoop to fighting Sebastian in front of a hotel.

He shot him a cold glance and spat through gritted teeth, "Where were you when

Nadine loved me? I bet you haven't even held her hand yet, have you?"

It was obvious Sebastian had feelings for Nadine. But he was too much of a

coward to confess. What a pathetic excuse for a man.

But then again, it was probably a good thing that Sebastian was too afraid to

confess. If he had, and Nadine agreed to be with him, that would be a real

disaster for Brad.

The smile on Sebastian's face froze. Brad's words cut deep, straight to the core.

He liked Nadine, but his feelings came with a constant fear. Fear that if he

confessed and was rejected, he'd lose even the tenuous friendship they shared.

Then, he'd lose the chance to be close to her altogether.

The more he cared, the more cautious he became. He was terrified that one

wrong move would upset her, and he'd lose the chance to be near her. Brad's jab

hit its mark, leaving a sharp ache in Sebastian's chest.

"Like you said, Mr. Hamilton, Nad was once your wife, and you lived together for

six years. But you still ended up divorced, didn't you? Does she still have feelings

for you? If she doesn't, then the rest of us have a chance.

"Everyone has a chance to go after Nadine, except for you." He beamed at Brad.

"Mr. Hamilton, right now, you're the person Nadine hates the most. I suggest you

show some kindness and stop provoking her." With that, he waved his hand in

dismissal. Ignoring Brad's expression, he turned and walked into the hotel.

The night wind rustled the trees, their shadows swaying under the dim streetlights.

The pale yellow light illuminated Brad's face.

Sebastian was right. Everyone had a chance to pursue Nadine, except for him.

Those words were cruel, yet they were true.

If it weren't for Sean, Nadine wouldn't even look at him. Standing under the

shifting shadows of the trees, his handsome face was etched with confusion and

regret.

...

It was well past midnight, and Sean had already fallen asleep. He was exhausted

from playing all day, his faint snores filling the room.

Nadine was still awake, organizing the day's notes. The sound of her son's gentle

snores and the night breeze outside filled her with a sense of tranquility.

Earlier, when they were out with

Sean, Sebastian had said something

that lingered in her mind. "Love is a

luxury. If you've ever experienced it,

you're already ahead of most people

in life. Many never even get a taste

of it.

"Whether it lasts depends on whether the other person loves you. And even if they

do, life's messy, day-to-day struggles can bring out the worst in both of you."

Nadine had to admit that Sebastian

had a point. Life was hard. Everyone

was busy with their own lives, and

love had become a luxury. Even if

one gave it their all, they didn't

always get the same in return.

For some people, simply

encountering love was already a

blessing in itself. When she loved

Brad, she gave it her all. She had no

regrets because she'd done right by

him. And that, more than anything, noveldrama

gave her peace of mind.
