Blanca came out of the shower and saw Matthew was working in a nightgown. She rarely saw Matthew
take a long rest.
Was it because the chairman very busy?
After all, the company ran with thousands of employees...
“Are you finished?”
“Mhm.”
Blanca dried her hair. She seldom used a hairdryer because she felt that it was not healthy for her hair.
Just as she was about to go to bed after drying her hair, Matthew put down his tablet and suddenly
turned his head to look at her.
Blanca only felt his eyes fall on her for a while, and her ears were burning red from shyness.
“Are you going to bed?” Blanca was trying to make a conversation to avoid awkward silence.
The look on Blanca’s face touched a soft spot in Matthew’s profound heart. He never had pictured
himself being in the same bed with a woman, not to mention now... he got to look at her quietly, just
simply looked at her without saying anything, and still felt content at heart.
“Go ahead and get some sleep.”
Saying so, Matthew went straight to turn off the light when Blanca was about to respond.
The switch went off, and the room was filled with darkness... Probably it was because Blanca’s senses
had gotten more sensitive in the dark, she could only hear Matthew’s breaths even clearer. Hearing his
breathing, she blushed slightly.
Blanca seemed to have trouble finding the most comfortable position lying down. But she didn’t want to
interrupt Matthew...
She stayed almost still for quite a while before she gradually fell asleep.

Blanca’s phone vibrated. She picked it up and saw a friend request on the screen.
It was Zachary Wood.
Blanca approved Zachary’s friend request and she went ahead to freshen up. As soon as she was
done, she received a call from Peter. Peter asked her for her address saying that he was on the way to
pick her up. There was no way Blanca would allow this.
So she told Peter she would be going over herself.
As soon as she hung up the call, Matthew walked in. But he didn’t seem to notice Blanca - he went
straight upstairs to take a shower. Blanca already finished breakfast when he came down from the
shower, “Matthew, I am going out for a meetup today.”
“What for?”
Matthew naturally scanned over the breakfast on the table. Blanca was eating so fast but she didn’t eat
much in a hurry. Matthew couldn’t help wondering who she had to rush out to meet.
Was she meeting... the close student friend from the other day?
“I am meeting Peter... I’ve promised to work with him. I gotta go now, bye!”
Blanca feared that Matthew would get upset and they got into a fight, but she feared even more that
Matthew would ground her in the house not letting her out. She just made up a reason so she could
take off quickly. Matthew wasn’t happy about this.
