Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant

Chapter 132 Not an Antique

Chapter 132 Not an Antique

Having been through a shock, Blanca went back to the room early that night.

She thought and thought and felt that whatever it was, she must have been blind before. Was she that

bad a judge of character? Taking a shine to swine like Todd.

She picked up the pillow by her side and strangled it resentfully, suddenly recalling Matthew.

Even if she was to take a shine to someone, it’d have to be someone like Matthew, right? Then she

realized what she was thinking and tossed the pillow in her arms away. Good god what was she doing

clutching at his pillow? Mentally ravishing him?

Was she supposed to swoon into his arms after being saved? She wasn’t some antique damsel!

Besides, even if she was to swoon into his arms, with someone at Matthew’s level, he wouldn’t return

her affections anyway. Blanca sucked in her breath through her nose and warned herself not to get

starstruck again.

Just a few minutes after she calmed down, the door clicked open. Blanca was sitting on the bed and

hadn’t even thought of the right posture to receive him, so she took over the air conditioning blanket

and covered her legs.

“Here. From Mrs. Brown.”

“…huh?” Blanca looked at the bags tossed on the bed, packed with packs and poultices for bruising.

Did Mrs. Brown know she’d been hurt?

Before Blanca could even ask, Matthew had loosened his necktie and turned to head inside the

bathroom. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

The sound of running water came from inside.

Blanca crawled over to the medicine on her knees, a smile wafting up on her lips. Whether it was from

Mrs. Brown or Matthew, the thought of being cared for made her feel warm and fuzzy.

When Matthew got out, Blanca was still in the same posture. He frowned, gaze falling on the medicine.

“You’re not using it?”

“Well… it’s just scrapes and bruises. No need to rub anything on.”

Blanca had gotten hurt before and never taken it seriously.

Matthew, though having just showered, was in pale grey pajamas, and the sense of authority coming

off him was considerably lessened. Instead, he emanated the… gentle aura of a mature man.

If not for those eyes, he’d be sickly sweet.

“Scrapes and bruises?” Matthew walked over to the bed and sat down, the mattress crumpling to make

way for him. “Blanca, I won’t tolerate my people having even the smallest scrape or bruise, got it?”

With Blanca blinking and looking doe-eyed up at him, Matthew extended his long arms and yanked her

over directly. Maybe because it was a convenient posture, but Blanca landed square into his embrace

the next moment.

Before realizing anything was wrong, he held her in place. “Don’t move.”

With that, he unscrewed the medicine box, rubbed the ointment on his hand, and laid his hand softly on

Blanca’s neck…

“I-I can do it myself!”

Blanca was short-circuiting. Since when had she had such close contact with a man? Much less a man

this handsome.

She jerked her neck and tried to escape his arms, but Matthew held her in place, his voice a little

deeper now as he commanded, “I told you not to move. Didn’t you understand me?”

Matthew was never one to waste words, and his decisions rarely changed because of others. If Blanca

didn’t want to rub the medicine on herself, he was free, so he could just do it for her.

Matthew’s technique was gentle and his motions were slow. Blanca suddenly didn’t dare speak, or

even breathe.

Feeling that hand move around her neck, her ears slowly reddened…
