No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Donovan sneered, "That's right. Are you scared now? Hurry up and leave that brat. Come over and apologize to Xenia!"

"Apologize? Dream on!" Noelle replied.

Soon, the police arrived. Xenia quickly started to feign pain and said, "It hurts so much."

Donovan pointed at Noelle and said, "She hurt my sister."

Since Noelle refused to admit her mistake, he would let the police teach her a lesson today so she wouldn't cause any more trouble in the future.

Xenia's eyes glinted with satisfaction. She was determined to make sure Noelle got arrested today. Xenia was certain that once Noelle had a criminal record, she wouldn't stand a chance against her anymore.

Xenia feigned innocence. "Noelle, I would have forgiven you if you just apologized. I can't help you anymore now."

"Xenia, you're too kind. Noelle doesn't deserve your forgiveness," Donovan said.

"Donovan, we're family. We can't just let Noelle go down the wrong path!" Xenia said, putting on a sad expression.

The police turned to Noelle after hearing everything and said coldly, "Miss, you're suspected of intentional harm. Please come with us for questioning."

Cedric's expression turned icy. "I dare anyone to touch her!" he said firmly.

Donovan smirked. "Kid, this is Yasnia. Get a grip."

Cedric wasn't fazed. "So what?" he replied calmly.

Noelle placed her hand on Cedric's and addressed the police. "There was intentional injury here, but I didn't do it. She did," she said, pointing at Xenia.

Xenia's face went pale. "What are you talking about? You can't just blame me," she stammered. Since no one had seen what happened, Xenia assumed no one would believe Noelle's words.

Donovan laughed bitterly. "Noelle, is accusing Xenia your defense?"

Xenia started fake-crying. "Noelle, I didn't want to make this worse, but now you've gone too far."

"No, you're the one who went too far. You attacked me first, then fell down the stairs and played the victim," Noelle retorted calmly.

Xenia lowered her head in guilt.

Donovan snapped, "Noelle, you've disappointed me. Even now, you won't admit

it!"

"I didn't do anything. Why should I admit to it? Do you have proof?" Noelle asked.

Donovan demanded, "Do you have proof that Xenia attacked you first?"

"I do," Noelle said confidently. She stepped aside and pointed at the wall. "Look, there's a security camera in the hallway. It recorded everything at the top of the stairs."

Xenia's face turned pale in fear. There hadn't always been a camera by the stairs,

and she couldn't understand what was happening.

Panic gripped Xenia. If Donovan stopped trusting her, it was all over for her.

Noelle's expression hardened. "Once the footage is reviewed, the truth will come out," she said coldly.

Cedric stood by, casting a knowing

glance at Noelle. It was clear she

had anticipated this all along, which explained her unshakable

and said, "Donovan, just forget it. This is all my fault.

"Even though I'm hurt, we're family. There's no need to make scene or waste the police's time." She grabbed Donovan's hand and added, "I suddenly feel dizzy and nauseous. Donovan, can you take me to the hospital?"

Noelle smiled slyly. "Not so fast. Are you trying to run away?"

She wouldn't let Xenia off the hook so easily this time.
