Lucien checked his time and Lucia wasn’t coming or showing any signs of arrival .

From his tracking device on the laptop , the car was at a stationery position and that means she wasn’t in it neither was she driving it .

He paced around the living room as his eyes fell on the couch .

His mind flew back in time on the first day he brought her home .

Flash back … 1

” Ok and you do have a nice couch ” Lucia said using her hands to feel the couch .

” Thank you and stop being a talkative ” he had said tired already of her .

” I am not a talkative ” Lucia snapped .

” Yes you are ” Lucien replied back .

” I am not

” You are .

Lucien smiled sadly as he remembered that day. He was already regretting bringing her to his home that day and then the other day .

Flashback 2. .

“So I want to say thank you for saving my life and giving me such a beautiful name ” Lucia said blocking Lucien on the stairs as he prepared to go to work .

” That’s not needed Lucia , all that is needed is for you to regain your memories so you can go back to where you belong and where you are wanted ” he said and walked of leaving her .

Lucien bit his lips as he remembered he had told her she was unwanted that day , everything he did were slowly wiped out but now the pains he was feeling had brought them back fresh into his memories .

Then he remembered when he had ran home to check on her due to the impromptu call of Thelma . And he had ended up making her tear up

Flashback 3

” I am sorry , I didn’t mean to disturb you , I didn’t know Thelma would call you ” Lucia said on the verge of tearing up .

” You are sorry , what would sorry do in this situation , sorry that you made me miss my office appointments ” Lucien snapped .

” I just felt my head go heavy with the numerous questions your sister asked and I slipped into unconciousness” Lucia said softly and Lucien ruffled his hair .

Lucien plopped his self on the sofa as he felt his heart tear up .

He felt like a greater part of him was missing .

A greater percentage of his happiness was gone .

A greater percentage of his smiles .

Then the first time they had sex

” I am sorry ” he said and hugged her closer to himself and Lucia just sniffed .

” I know you are saying all these because of the bet ” she mumbled with a small smile .

” Give me another chance , this is not a bet , another chance to make it up to you , to show you that I can take care of your heart ” Lucien assured and Lucia’s eyes widened .

” Are you serious ” she said running her hands on his face and Lucien held it to his face .

” Yes I am . I am forgetting my fears and taking this step to see what it would hold –

Lucia couldn’t wait for him to finish talking before smashing her lips on his .

He smiled as he held her firm and kissed her roughly .

Lucien stood up and checked the tracker again and saw that the car was still stationery so he decided to go look for her .

What if she had hurt herself .

He wouldn’t be able to bear it or forgive himself if anything happens to her.

After all he saved her and now he is in love with her .

He went upstairs and picked up his jacket and swung it over his shoulder as he ran down the stairs .

He locked the door firmly before walking over to his garage where he picked his sports car , he needed it because it was one hell of a fast car and would aid him to move faster and get there on time incase there was any emergency .

He reversed and pressed the remote button and the gate opened and he drove out of the compound and the gate closed up immediately .

” How dare you , and why would you think of something that expensive . ” Lucia said as she hit the bottle on the table and the table shook making Jason flinch .

” What are you talking about ” he asked gently .

” When did we get engaged . When did we ever . Or did your working terms make me get engaged to you also . ” She said the influence of alcohol on her .

And that was her plan . She wanted to be high in alcohol because she wouldn’t be able to pour our her mind the way she wants without alcohol.

” I am so sorry Lucia. I didn’t mean ..

” Mean to what ” she shouted at him and he flinched .

Jason could see the hurt in her eyes and all he wanted to do was rewind the time and delete those words .

” I didn’t mean to get you hurt Lucia. Believe me ” he said bringing out his hand to hold her.

” If you as much lay your filthy hands on me , I will kill you and won’t care if I get arrested . ” Lucia said with a smirk . And Jason retrieved his hands immediately .

Every intention to hold her wiped away as he stared at the dangerous look on her face .

” You ruined the relationship I cherished , you made me lose him all because of your silly attitude ” she said with a sober look on and Jason bowed down his head as regrets washed his face .

” I am sorry ” he said and stood up to hold her ..
