She stepped out of the store after informing Celeste and Veronica. However, as she passed by, the sound
of a video playing on a passerby's phone froze her in place.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have stolen your designs. It's all my fault. I sincerely apologize!"
The words hit Leah like a thunderbolt. Realizing what was happening, she lunged forward and snatched the person's phone.
"What are you doing?
"Wait, are you Leah from the video?"
The stranger quickly recognized her and her face lit up with excitement.
Leah's eyes were glued to the screen, wide with disbelief. The video was posted on the official account of Nelson Group.
"Who... Who did this?" she screamed.
The startled passerby snatched her phone back and stepped away warily. They pointed their camera at Leah, recording her. "Wow, so this is the rich heiress from the video? Geez, she's just as rude in real life!" "Stop filming! Put your phone down!" Leah barked.
The commotion caught the attention of other onlookers. Soon, a small crowd gathered and many pulled out their phones to record her.
"That's the spoiled rich girl who plagiarized someone's work and had the audacity to enter a competition with it, right? She's definitely the daughter of a capitalist-they stoop too low. She plagiarizes and doesn't even apologize!."
"Exactly! She publicly apologized in the video, and now she's pretending it never happened. When someone confronts her, she just plays dumb and pretends to be a victim!"
"I know, right? The person she plagiarized must be speechless. She publicly said she would apologize, yet she's still crying in front of them. She made it look like she's forced to apologize!"
"What's there to cry about? She's just trying to garner sympathy. She really thinks the crowd is foolish enough to fall for her tears as if crying will sway public opinion. She's convinced she's the weak one here.
"Haha, should I compliment her for her tears? Bravo to the pity act!""
The murmurs turned to jeers, growing louder by the second.
Leah clenched her fists as she struggled to stay composed.
It was too much to bear seeing these so-called "trolls" standing right in front of her in their cheap attire, spouting their insults in person.
"Why are you recording? This has nothing to do with you!" she shouted.

With a loud crack, it hit the ground and shattered into pieces.
Just then, Milo arrived on the scene.
"Leah!"
"Milo! You're finally here!"
The moment she saw him, Leah's tears welled up. She threw herself into his arms, her voice trembling with grievance. "They're all bullying me...
"I'll get you out of here first," Milo said calmly.
Shielding her with his body, he maneuvered her through the increasingly chaotic crowd, finally guiding her into the car.
As soon as the doors shut, Milo let out a sigh of relief.
Those ten minutes felt like the most claustrophobic moment of his life.
Someone had even managed to grab Leah's hair in the chaos and tear his silk shirt.
Milo frowned as he glanced at Leah's once perfectly styled hair which was now a tangled mess.
Leah, on the verge of tears, vented her frustration. "Those fools! What were they thinking? I'm calling the police. I'll sue them-"
"Leah, why did you attack them?"
Leah was caught off guard by his question.
Moments later, tears began streaming down her face. "Milo, are you blaming me too? Is it my fault for bringing trouble to the family? They all insult me, mock me, and am I supposed to take it without fighting back?"
In the past, Milo would have dropped everything to comfort her, no matter the circumstances.
But for some reason now, her words grated on him.noveldrama
Especially after he'd seen the venomous look in her eyes when she smashed that phone.
That wasn't the Leah he knew. The little sister he'd cherished and protected since they were kids felt like a stranger now.
When did she change?
Milo rolled down the window and let the cool breeze calm his turbulent thoughts.
"Wayne," he finally said, addressing his assistant. "Find the person whose phone was broken. Offer them ten times its value as compensation."
"Yes, Mr. Milo."
Leah's frustration boiled over.
Ten times? That bauber didn't deserve a cent!
