Chapter 65
Chapter 65
Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 65 – He Still Cares
As things got worse and worse, Anastasia’s parents rushed over. They were also shocked when they
heard the news but couldn’t let them hit their daughter.
“You hit my Anastasia! Do you want to give us a hard time?”
In an instant, Anastasia’s mother and Winifred wrestled together.
“Enough!”
Nathaniel said coldly. Anastasia’s parents were guilty and immediately stopped.
Nathaniel kept a straight face, saying, “It’s impossible to continue the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert,
you don’t want to be embarrassed, don’t you?”
Nathaniel had been terribly calm the whole time.
Logically speaking, Nathaniel was the victim. Anastasia’s parents could only let go of resentment.
“Albert, spread the word that the wedding is canceled. Close the live broadcast channel, control the
public opinion, and contact the reporter and the media. Arrange for the guests, apologize, and make
compensation.”
Nathaniel arranged the follow-up work seamlessly, making Donahue, who had been observing him,
carefully examine Nathaniel.
He could handle it so calmly when something like that happened to him. If he hadn’t betrayed Jill,
Donahue might have cooperated with him again.
The live broadcast was interrupted.
Looking at the computer screen gradually returning to normal, with her shadow reflected on it, Janet
was a little dazed.
Did they deal with Anastasia easily? Janet didn’t expect it to be so fast.
“How was it? Wasn’t it a good show?”
Suddenly, Beacher’s voice sounded. He entered the door with a smile, unable to hide his joy.
“Beacher, when did you come back?”
“I set out when Donahue appeared. I knew he would kick their a*s, so I don’t have to do anything!”
Beacher sat on the couch nearby Janet, relaxed and happy. He smiled at her and even hummed a
song happily.
“Indeed.”
Janet didn’t expect Donahue to act so decisively. They were combinatorial. Janet was happy when
thinking about Anastasia’s distressed appearance. “Thank you, Beacher. It’s a very exciting show. I had
a great time!” said she.
Seeing Janet’s smile, Beacher felt that everything he had done was worth it! NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
“No big deal. I was happy to do that. He offended my sister. Who does he think he is? You’re a
thousand times better than that kind of woman. She even doesn’t deserve to compete with you. It
makes my mouth dirty even mentioning her!”
The more Beacher thought about it, the happier he felt. With his chin raised, he was proud when talking
about Janet.
Before Janet divorced Nathaniel, Anastasia liked to send Nathaniel letters to show her vulnerability.
She used those fancy words, pretending to be innocent and pure.
Anastasia complained to Nathaniel and sent Janet Nathaniel’s letter to stimulate her, making Janet
ruthless and choose to
divorce.
“Anastasia got what she deserved.” Janet’s eyes gradually became indifferent. She lowered her head
and slowly closed her eyes, “Beacher, you and Donahue don’t have to do that for me anymore. I don’t
want to have anything to do with Nathaniel!”
“And I don’t care who Nathaniel will be involved with.”
Janet took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes. From this moment, Beacher noticed she
seemed to have really changed.
“Beacher, all my thoughts are here!”
Janet pointed to her computer screen, which was displaying the plan for the coming business meeting.
Beacher took a look. He looked at the well-organized documents, and his eyes flashed with admiration.
“You’re still awesome after many years. It’s logical and interlocking. Very impressive!” said he.
“Thank you!”
Janet raised her chin proudly. Although Beacher loved racing cars, he was capable of business. Janet
was pleased to hear his praise.
Beacher was still worried, “Do whatever you want. I’ll beat him if Nathaniel bullies you!”
“I know you love me most!’
Janet felt so warm that she wanted to cry. She was so stup*d for rejecting many suitors for Nathaniel!
From now on, she would never do it again!
At the same time, Nathaniel’s wedding was in chaos.
Donahue was unwilling to stay any longer and was about to leave.
But suddenly…
“Stop.” Nathaniel stepped forward to stop Donahue. “Janet is the president of Longfellow Group, and
the Smedley family is her family. I know you are Janet’s cousin,” said Nathaniel.
Nathaniel still had some brains. Donahue slightly raised his eyebrows, rubbed the ring on his thumb,
and said coldly, “So?”
Nathaniel was silent for a long time as if he was struggling to ask or not.
Just when Donahue got impatient and was about to leave, Nathaniel asked in a low voice…
“Did she ask you to spoil my wedding?”
