Chapter 900
"Yes."
The bodyguard answered.
With Alice's help, Patrick's mystifying hints were found one after another. When she found one, she could only watch William burn it.
She did nothing but let him.
When Alice found the gift for the eleventh palace from the roof of the old house, her mood had already reached its peak. That was not guilt, nor was it sadness, reminiscence or indifference. It was complicated.
She had always silently watched William burning gifts, and kept thinking of her past with Patrick, as well as her simplest happiness.
The eleventh gift Patrick had given her was a medical history report, a report of him preparing to undergo craniotomy, with a thick layer of paper placed beside it. "After thinking for a long time, I decided to give this medical record to you as a gift from the 11th palace. These years, every time I can't confirm the location, I have to wait for my mother to visit me secretly and then took me there. It took me years to get just a dozen presents. But there's no need for that in the future. When I recover my sight, I'll be able to hide the last gift properly. And I'll accompany you to see the snow."
Patrick wrote a lot of things on this letter. She could almost imagine how difficult it was for a blind person to hold a piece of paper with one hand and write a few words carefully with the pen in the other.
Medical record.
At that time, knowing that Patrick's eyesight could recover, the two of them were the happiest ones, thinking that everything's gonna be fine. But this operation had changed everything.
They had become strangers. Then she had gone through a six-years of torture. Then her family was destroyed.
Alice sat at the door, while William was burning the medical report outside. Looking at the flames which were igniting, Alice covered her lips, her eyes gradually becoming moist.
William raised his eyes and looked at her. Those eyes were especially sinister and ruthless against the light of the fire, causing chills to run down one's spine when they saw them.
Alice couldn't help but lower her gaze, burying her own emotions. Step by step, William walked in front of her, "What's written on the letter?"
Alice passed a thick stack of stationery to William, looked at his uncertain face and said softly, "William, can we go back now?"
"I haven't found the last gift yet."
William said coldly.
"There can't be a last gift." Alice said, with a slightly bitter voice, "After he gave this gift, he went to perform the surgery, and after that, he lost his memory, so there was no twelfth gift."
There were only eleven presents left. That's it.
William looked at her with his deep gaze, no one could understand what he was thinking. Flipping through the letters in hands, his face turned gloomy.
"There's really nothing else. He didn't even leave any clues behind, right?"
Otherwise, Patrick would have left a charade for her to guess, but a medical record is not something he can leave charade on.
"The clue isn't in the medical record. It's in the letter." William lowered his gaze and looked at her, asking her word by word, "Where will you goto seethe snow?"
A bit of light flashed across Alice's mind, she remembered the scene of Patrick being pulled out from the snow.
"It seems like you've thought of something."
William said in an ice-cold voice.
Alice stood up, staring at him intently, "William, let's not search anymore, can we go back now?"
Now that he had found eleven of them, he should have enough of venting, right?
"No." William said paranoidly, "Where would you look at the snow?"
Alice looked at Patrick with a pale face. He had to burn it all to be satisfied?
"Where?"
His voice was even stronger.
"Follow me."
Under William's forceful gaze, Alice finally lost and walked out. William called out
to her, "Are you tired? Maybe tomorrow."
In short, they were still looking for it.
In short, he was not in a hurry to return to San Francisco, was he?
Alice shook her head, she was no longer able to force out a smile, "I'm not tired. Let's go.
That place is a very big one, it's not easy to find."
After she finished speaking, she walked forward and almost stumbled and fell. William hugged her from behind and carried her without saying a word before walking out.
Alice looked at him in a daze, "I'm very heavy now."
"I can even hug you if you're a pig."
William glanced at her arrogantly.
Alice helplessly leaned into his embrace and let William carry her forward. It was late in the night, but William's chest was warm. Leaning against his shoulder, she felt no cold.
She stared at his face up close. She could see the corners of his face clearly. He was not smiling at all, so she was unable to guess what William was thinking. This feeling was truly tiring.
Alice thought to herself as she walked along the road for a long time. "Here."
It was an empty space at the back of the sector, and the street lights shone down on everyone. The bodyguards quickly spread out with their weapons, ready to make a big scene. Then they were stunned when they saw that the ground was concrete.
Alice looked at the place, and said, "In the past, there was no concrete ground here. If there was snow, it would have accumulated a thick layer of them. It would be especially muddy and difficult to walk on. If I were to be careless, I would have fallen into the snow pit."
"Using snow as a romantic memory, you think you are filming a TV show?" William snorted sinisterly, his eyes staring straight at Alice as if he wanted to stare at a hole in her body."
Alice lowered her gaze, "William, I'll go back to the old house to pack my things first.
She really didn't want to recollect the past anymore. She was so tired.
Alice turned around and was about to go back when a voice suddenly came from behind them, "Mr. Cullen, look."
Alice subconsciously turned her head and saw two bodyguards standing in front of a thick and big tree. About a meter and a half high tree had been dug out, exposing a hollow tree.
William walked over with large strides, his long fingers scratched around the edge
of the hollowed out tree. His gaze was cold.
"Mr. Cullen, the cut marks are old and new.
They must have been dug recently."
The bodyguard analyzed.

William looked at it coldly and suddenly turned to look at Alice. Alice stood there
and stared at the tree hole, the size of the hole was exactly the same as a chocolate tin box.
But there was no box inside.
That only had one explanation.
William walked towards her with his black eyes staring deeply at her. Slightly opened his mouth and said word by word, "Mr. Miller is back."
It seemed like the emails had some effect, he finally knowing that he had to rush back to protect the gift.
William didn't even bother to look at Alice's reaction after he finished speaking, his face was horrible when he brushed past her shoulders.
Alice stood there alone, staring at the tree hole, unable to say a word.
Why did he come back?
If he saw the burnt video sent by William, he would have seen her warning too. Why did Patrick still come back?
Alice closed her eyes, and she heard William's cold voice behind her, "I won't be leaving, until I find Patrick."
"What do you want to do when you find him?"
Alice asked with a trembling voice.
"I'll play him to death!"noveldrama
William let out a cold laugh, which looked especially sinister under the night sky.
Alice bit her lips until they were white, the emotions surging in her heart were indescribable.
William was really not going anywhere. No matter how she tried to persuade him. And she had to stay with him.
The lights in the old house were on.
She sat on the other side of the balcony door, stirring the powder with a thin spoon. A pair of black and white eyes looked at the bed. William was half lying on the bed, holding a tablet computer in his hand. His long fingers quickly moving about on it, but no one knew what he was doing.
"Do you have to do this?"
Alice asked.
"Do you care for him?" William cast a sidelong glance at her, his eyes filled with cold indifference. "If he had stayed abroad peacefully, I wouldn't have even touched a finger of his. But he sneaked back in. Who knows what he wanted to do? Does he want to you back?"
"You know that's impossible."
She's done with Patrick for good.
He had accompanied her through all of this, and now he was even saying such
words.
"Who knows?" William laughed sarcastically as his fingers moved quickly on the board.
"He returned and did not disturb us, but went to worship Mary. Furthermore, he no longer has the ability to deal with you." Alice said, her voice was pale.
"Just based on the past relationship between you and Patrick alone, he has made me unhappy," said he coldly. He is paranoid to the point of madness, "Since he has the guts to come back and protect the gifts, it's normal for me to find him and play with him, isn't it?"
They were natural enemies, anyway.
His tone suggested that killing Patrick was as easy as killing a grasshopper. Alice turned the warm cup of milk in her hand, lowered her eyes and looked at the
milk in the cup that was swaying, said softly, "If only you were messing things up,
but I'm afraid ... you are not."
She was afraid that every shocking thing that he was for real.
Apparently, he wasn't going to tell her either, and she was too stupid to figure it
out.

Hearing this, William leaned against the headboard, his fingers frozen on the flat screen. The thin lip pursed and his black eyes remained fixed for a long time.
There was a moment of silence.
Suddenly, William turned off the tablet computer, raised his eyes and looked at the milk cup in her hands and said unhappily, "Why aren't you drinking the milk yet?"
He did not answer her question.
He fled.
Facing such a situation, Alice's heart became heavier. She raised the milk glass to drink, but the cup was taken away by a hand.
William stood in front of her and snatched the cup away. He lowered his head and took a sip, frowning, "It's cold."
What do you think?
