My Invincible Husband Has Returned

Chapter 24

Chapter 24

Cheryl ordered someone to bring over a bucketful of the leftover wastewater that the servants used to mop the floors so that she could pour it onto Celena to spite her. She could not believe that she ended up being covered in the same water too, and at the thought of this, she stomped back into the mansion, screaming.

As angry as she was, Cheryl could not help but find the man who showed up to help Celena strangely familiar. It was as though she had seen him before, but she could not put a finger on it.

Meanwhile, Liam brought Celena back to Jade Manor. Everyone was stunned to see Celena return with another wound this time. They bussed her back to her room where Dr. Jensen opened the dressing on her bullet wound. The stitches tore, and wastewater seeped into her wound. The edges of the wound were gaping and were beginning to become inflamed. Dr. Jensen changed the dressing and put Celena on an IV drip.

Liam sat down next to Celena’s bed and watched her curl up like a shrimp, fast asleep. Tears brimmed in his eyes as he blamed himself for her getting hurt. If it were not for him, she would not have gone through such hardship on her own and become so fearful of everything that she even slept in such a vulnerable position!

Liam held her hand in his and gently stroked her cheek with the other. “I’m sorry, Celena. This is all my fault! I promise to protect you and Jovie with my life from now on. No one will ever dare lay a finger on you!”

while, Liam tucked the blanket around Celena and left.

n waited outside the room all this while. He finally approached when he emerged and said, “Sir, I decided to keep Trent in the From NôvelDrama.Org.

back with some of our men standing guard!”

A steely look crossed Liam’s face at the mention of Trent’s name. He wanted nothing more than to kill Trent right on the spot!

He followed Calum to the cell where Trent was being held hostage. At this moment, Trent was slumped on the ground like a rotting corpse. Liam stared at him coldly and said, “What a weakling you are, Trent Walker! You almost killed my daughter and stopped her from getting any medical treatment. I almost lost her. You’ll pay the price for what you’ve done!”

Trent was lying in a puddle of his blood and was wailing in agony from the excruciating pain of his four limbs. At the sight of Liam, however, he said through gritted teeth, “You wouldn’t dare lay a finger on me again! My father will come for me, and you’ll regret having ever met me! I know plenty of men who’ll enjoy riding your bitch Celena, and I’ll peel the flesh off that scum daughter of yours!”

A malicious look flashed through Liam’s eyes at the mention of Celena and Jovie. “Don’t worry. Since your father is going to come for you, I’ll gladly welcome him! I’ll make you feel every ounce of the pain you’ve put Celena and Jovie through, a thousand times over!”

With that, he turned to Calum and said, “Tell Dr. Jensen to give him the best medicine that will cure him, and every day, send someone to prick him in all of his wounds. Don’t let him die. Use everything you can to keep him alive. I want him to feel the pain Celena and Jovie have felt!”

Calum grinned and replied, “Understood, Sir. I’ll use the bluntest knife I can find and see to this task myself!”
