Chapter 227
Chapter 227
A figure loomed in the doorway, eyes blazing with fury, surveying the room with a wrathful glare. His fists were balled up, his body tense with a lethal vibe as he locked eyes with Celena, who was helplessly sprawled on the floor. His voice, stern and menacing, thundered, "You! You're asking for it!"
Liam had reached his boiling point. Celena's white dress was then nothing more than rags as she lay there, unresponsive, completely vulnerable. Liam, eyes red with anger, stormed in and sent the hefty woman on top of Celena flying with a powerful kick. She flew across the room and slammed into a table, which shattered on impact, sending snacks and drinks flying.
The woman screamed in agony as she landed amidst the broken glass, her back lacerated and bleeding profusely.
"Ah! My back, it's killing me! It hurts so much!"
Bang!
With the woman out of the way, Liam quickly grabbed another assailant and hurled her aside. She crashed into a liquor shelf, which toppled over with a clatter, bottles shattering. The smell of alcohol permeated the air.
Liam scooped Celena up with a look of intense worry, cradling her close as he asked, "Celena, are you okay?"
Feeling the warmth she knew so well, the scent that was unmistakably Liam, and hearing the concern in his voice, Celena's senses snapped back. The pain was all she could focus on as she wept, safe at last in Liam's arms.
"Liam, I just want to go home… "
She was exhausted, more than she had ever been, her body a mess and her spirit crushed by a friend's betrayal. She seemed lost in a fog.
"Okay, we'll head home, However, we're not done with the jerk who messed with you!"
Liam held her hand a bit tighter, feeling Celena's fear as she shook in his arms. He wrapped her up and walked briskly to the exit, whispering words of comfort.
"Celena, don't be scared. I'm right here...
"Celena, I won't let anyone who hurts you get away with it.
"Celena..."
He gently placed Celena in the car, draped a coat over her, and saw not a single inch of her skin was untouched. His eyes were red with fury, like a volcano ready to blow.
After a soft kiss on her forehead, Liam murmured, "Stay put, I'll be back in a flash."
He glanced at Celena, shivering in the back seat, then turned and stormed back into the hotel, rage coursing through him.
The hotel, owned by Samara's family, was then a battleground. A dozen guards had been ordered to teach Liam a lesson.
As Liam re-entered, a chilling fury seemed to sweep through the lobby, making the guards shudder without knowing why.
The head manager, facing Liam's wrath, signaled his guards to advance, bellowing, "Get him! He thinks he can hurt our guest's friends and live to tell the tale? Show him!" Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
In a heartbeat, the guards, batons in hand, rushed at Liam.
The security team, looking fierce and ready for a fight, rushed at Liam in unison. With just a quick arch of his eyebrow and a fluid motion, Liam sent them soaring through the air like kites without strings, accompanied by a series of thuds. One guard crash-landed on a grand piano in the lobby, which screeched under the impact.
