Chapter 530 The child is sick
“Caleb, will you really betray me?” Eva reached out to trace Caleb’s delicate features and murmured.
After sleeping, Caleb is less rigid, but no less charming.
“I wish you would have told me that the man I saw today was not you.”
“If one day you really leave me, what should I do?”
“Do you give up on me?”
The sleeping Caleb did not know that Eva had been mumbling to him all night, let alone what kind of internal struggle Eva had gone through this night.
The next day, Eva woke up listlessly, her dark circles under her eyes unusually obvious because she had not slept all night.
“Eat something, I heard Mom say you haven’t eaten much since yesterday.”
Caleb saw Eva coming downstairs and thoughtfully brought Eva breakfast.
Eva sat quietly at the table without saying a word, only drinking a glass of milk and putting it down.
“What, bad appetite?” Caleb frowned when he saw that the breakfast in front of Eva hadn’t moved at all.
“No, don’t really want to eat.” Eva replied coldly, looking at Caleb with some sadness and resignation in her eyes.
But when Caleb asks her what’s wrong, Eva keeps her mouth shut, fearing that if she speaks out they won’t be the same.
Caleb saw Eva this way, anxious, and can not find the reason, the morning work are a little distracted, open the file did not look into, and finally he simply take the car keys and drive home.
Caleb had just arrived home when he saw Eva scrambling to get ready to leave the house.
“What’s wrong, what’s going on?” Caleb asked.
“Hana is sick and in the hospital.” Eva responded in a hurry, forgetting that she was angry with Caleb.
She had just heard the news and was very worried.
“You take it slow, I’ll get the car.” Caleb instructed Eva, and by the time the two arrived at the hospital, Hana had already been admitted to the hospital room.
“How is Hana? What did the doctor say?” Eva saw that Hana did not have her usual aura and asked Nathan on the side with some heartache.
“The cold triggered into pneumonia, need to be hospitalized for a period of observation.” Nathan’s voice was low and hoarse, looking at his own baby daughter with a heartfelt look.
“It’s okay, it’s good to observe for a few more days, in a few days Hana will be alive and well again.” Eva said comfortingly.
Briella had been sitting on the edge of the bed, holding little Hana’s hand, wishing she could have suffered for her.
“Briella, don’t worry too much, take good care of Hana,” Eva didn’t know how to comfort them, a feeling she herself felt so deeply that she didn’t know where to begin to advise.
“It’s all my fault for being too careless, and I didn’t take Hana’s cold to heart.” Briella looked self-condemned, originally Hana had some small cold, Briella thought it was nothing serious, so she fed her some medicine, never thought it would become so serious.
“It’s not your fault, don’t blame yourself, no one expected it to be so serious.” Eva took Briella’s hand, now Briella’s focus shifted to family, Hana was sick and hospitalized, Briella’s heart must not feel good.
“Now that Hana is sick, it’s even more important for you to take good care of her.”
“I know, it’s okay, don’t worry, Nathan and I can take care of Hana.” Briella smiled reluctantly, “You’re pregnant now hurry back and rest, don’t worry about it.”
“Mom, you guys should go back too, it’s fine here with Nathan and me.” Briella said as she looked at Irene, it was enough to have the two of them at the hospital, they couldn’t have everyone following them around here all the time.
“It’s okay, I’ll stay with Hana a little longer.” Irene has a special love for little Hana, she has no daughter, Hana is the only granddaughter of the Livingstone Family, Irene gives double the love to Hana and is anxious to see Hana sick.
Caleb and Nathan went to consult with the doctor to find out more about Hana’s condition, and Nathan couldn’t wait to get every word out of the doctor’s mouth, standing by and listening intently.
“Thank you, doctor.” Caleb got up to say thank you.
“Doctor, is my daughter really okay? Will there be any after-effects or something?” Nathan asked once again, very worried about Hana’s health condition.
“Mr. Livingstone is not worried, there is nothing serious wrong with the child, it will not leave after-effects.” The doctor replied once again with a bitter smile.
He has already answered this question 17 or 18 times, so why is this man in front of him still so distrustful of him! Does he, the doctor, seem so unreliable?
Irene got older and went home early, and it was Briella and Nathan who ended up staying behind to take care of Hana.
Inside Rosenfeld Hill, Isla had already made dinner and was waiting. When she saw Caleb and Eva coming back, she asked Hana if she was okay, if it was serious, and so on. Only when she got a negative answer from both of them did she feel relieved to eat.
Because Hana was sick, the family was running to the hospital, taking care of Hana, and Caleb was worried about Luxstar at the same time, forgetting the original reason for coming back.
“Nathan, go ahead and get busy if there’s something going on at the company, I’ll be fine at the hospital.” Briella said as she looked at Nathan.
Luxstar is not as big as Lumenstone, but there are still a lot of things waiting to be handled. Briella sees Nathan staying in the hospital all day and worries that he has forgotten about the company.
“Don’t worry, it’s all accounted for.” Nathan rubbed Briella’s hair and replied with a smile, “It’s you, go get some sleep, I’ll keep watch.”
Nathan looked at the tiredness and dark circles on Briella’s face and was so distressed that he pulled Briella hard to rest next door.
Staying up all night to take care of the child, even an iron body can not ah, each time he forced her to go to rest.
When Eva came over, she saw Nathan looking at Hana tenderly, his eyes could drown people. Seeing such a Nathan, Eva had to feel that a year ago Nathan was still an unruly, loose and unruly person, but now everything is starting to become stable.
It is amazing how a person can change so much in just one year.
“Hana’s asleep?” Eva came in gingerly and was relieved to see that Hana looked better than before.
“Hmm.” Nathan nodded, “Sister-in-law, there is no need to come every day to deliver the soup, you are also inconvenienced now and need to rest at home okay.”
Ever since Hana got sick, Eva would come to the hospital every day, either bringing food or her own soup, which made Nathan very touched.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Not only Eva, but also Irene came to deliver meals from time to time. Nathan’s eyebrows were relieved when he saw how harmonious the family was.
“I’m home and I’m fine, I came to see Hana,” Eva waved her hand carelessly, and since she always thought of Caleb and Aliyah together when she was home, it was good to find something to distract her.
