Skylar hadn't figured out why she felt that way when they stepped into Edwin's study.
Edwin's study was big, but it didn't show many signs of use. A glass cupboard held a few antiques that looked quite valuable.
Skylar followed Joe over and studied every single one of them in detail.
"I can give you anything you want from this collection. However, I can't part with the emerald pendant in your hand," Edwin hurriedly said after catching Joe ignored him, looking at Skylar instead.
She observed them one by one. Then, she shook her head. There was nothing wrong with the antiques.
Skylar scanned her surroundings. None of the decorative items in the room were negative items either.
“None of these are interesting enough for me. I'll be taking the pendant with me," announced Joe. He took Skylar's hand and left Edwin's study, paying no mind to Edwin's protests.
