"Is that really the reason he came to see you, Grandpa?" Vera felt uneasy. It was possible that Skylar had been whispering in his ear.
Vera wondered if Joe really believed what Skylar said.
Still, the recent incidents in their family had indeed been strange. She felt doubt creeping in again.
"Yes, I even asked him directly, but
