Ethan's tone sounded stable, showing no emotional fluctuations.

It sounded as if he was talking about a very normal thing.

Violet's ears got redder as if blood would drip down the next moment when she heard the words. She

tightened her grip on her phone and said, "No need."

Ethan asked blandly, "Do you have faith in it?"

Violet was rendered speechless.

Standing behind Violet, Ethan confessed to her in a low voice. Violet, however, looked desperate with

and asked in a husky voice, "Would you like to have a try?"

Violet stammered, "I-I..."

Ethan continued, "I won't compel you. Let me pursue you first, okay?"

Violet was lost for words.

She was so dumbfounded that she didn't even know how she returned to the opposite room.

When she completely collected herself, she found Ethan was picking up food for her.

She suddenly came to her senses and stammered, "Thank-Thank you."

Abbot was flabbergasted when he saw the interaction between Ethan and Violet.

After a long while, Abbot leaned toward Colin and asked in a voice that could only be heard by them

two, "What happened? Are they in a relationship now?"

Colin glanced at Abbot disdainfully and said with a meaningful smile, "Don't gather with us for a meal

Abbot asked in confusion, "What?"

Colin teased, "I and Faye, Ethan and Violet, but you..."

you two found your lovers behind my back."

Colin raised his feet under the table to kick him when he heard his words.

Colin chuckled and said, "Ethan surpassed you though he found his Ms. Right later than you. I feel

ashamed for you."

Abbot moved his lips trying to say something, but he couldn't contradict what Colin had said.

They left the private room after finishing the meal. To avoid any contact with Ethan, Violet deliberately

talked to Faye.

Faye understood her and didn't refuse it. She tried her best to cooperate with Violet.

Colin took out a chewing gum from his pocket, threw it to Ethan, and asked with a smile, "Did Ms.

Rowan agree to be your girlfriend?"

Ethan took the chewing gum, opened it, and put it into his mouth, replying, "Nah."

Colin slightly raised his brows and asked, "What happened?"

Ethan replied without any expressional change, "She didn't refuse me either because she thought me

pitiful."

Colin remarked, "Does Ms. Rowan have any misunderstanding about the word pitiful?"

Ethan chew the gum and replied in a calm voice, "Let Faye have more talk with Violet later."

Colin chuckled and asked, "To talk about your pitiful life?"

Ethan said, "The more pitiful, the better."

Colin asked, "Are you still a human being?"

Ethan looked at Colin disdainfully and said, "It depends. Compared with you, of course, I am."

Colin curled up his thin lips when he heard Ethan's words and said, "I pity Ms. Rowan."

Ethan said, "I also pitied Faye before."
