Abbot's words were somewhat resentful.

Rebecca wasn't a fool and she knew what he was implying.

Rebecca's expression became complicated and she hesitated, "Mr...Mr. Carter, you aren't insinuating

about that kiss. Aren't you?"

Rebecca turned around and saw that her mother was looking into the car through the window.

The mother and daughter were looking and staring at each other.

Looking at her mother's judging eyes, Rebecca was feeling more guilty inexplicably and said, "Mr.

Carter, is your car window tinted?"

Before Abbot could answer Rebecca, Rebecca's mother answered from the window, "It's not. I can see

you two clearly."

Rebecca was speechless.

That was a very embarrassing moment which made it worse when she couldn't explain it.

About ten minutes later, Abbot and Rebecca were sitting in the Black's villa living room.

Abbot was sitting upright with his straight back and he seemed to be very nervous.

Rebecca's mother put her arms around her chest and checked Abbot up several times from the top to

the bottom. Then, she said, "Why do I find you familiar?"

Abbot looked at Rebecca's mother and asked, "Do you read magazines?"

Rebecca's mother answered, "I do. Are you a model?"

Abbot asked, "How about the financial section?"

Rebecca's mother replied, "I read that too."

Abbot said solemnly, "Mrs. Black, my name is Abbot Carter."

Rebecca's mother's mind went blank at that moment. After a long while, she turned her head stiffly to

look at Rebecca.

Rebecca met her mother's gaze and nodded, "You got it right. He is from the Carters, who is the real

estate tycoon in Cocanel."

Rebecca's mother was speechless.

She couldn't believe that she was looking at the heir of the Carters in her home.

Rebecca's mother was in a daze for a long time and only regained her senses when Rebecca coughed

to signal her.

After regaining her senses, Rebecca's mother smiled awkwardly and urged Rebecca with her eyes,

"What are you doing here? Why don't you get Mr. Carter something to drink?"

After that, Rebecca's mother asked Abbot with a smile, "Mr. Carter, would you like some fruit?"

Abbot's expression looked a little lost and answered, "I'm good with anything."

After Rebecca's mother finished talking to Abbot with her smiley face, she turned to look at Rebecca

with a totally different expression and said, "Get some fruit too."

Rebecca was worried that Abbot would reveal her secret. She was reluctant to get up and said, "Let

Aubree do it."

Rebecca's mother urged, "Stop talking and go."

The Blacks were a typical family with the principle that "men are breadwinners; women are

homemakers". Therefore, whatever Rebecca's mother said in the house would be the imperial decree.

Rebecca stood up reluctantly. Before she left, she winked at Abbot multiple times.

The more Abbot looked at her, the more nervous he felt. He lowered his voice and asked, "What's

wrong?"

Rebecca whispered, "Don't say anything."

Her voice was too soft, and Abbot couldn't hear her clearly, "What do you want me to say?"

Rebecca answered, "I was telling you not to say anything. Be quiet."

Abbot looked at her blankly and frowned.

Seeing that, Rebecca rolled her eyes and said, "Forget it. Just do what you like!"

After that, Rebecca went to the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Aubree was cleaning up the place. When she saw Rebecca coming in, she winked and

asked, "Becca, is that your boyfriend?"

Rebecca answered, "No."

Aubree continued, "That young man is quite handsome."

Rebecca pouted and said, "What's the point of being handsome when his brain couldn't work well?"

After speaking, Rebecca suddenly thought of Abbot's capability in doing business. She found that her

judgment was not pertinent and added, "It's his emotional intelligence that isn't good."

Aubree pursed her lips and smiled after hearing her words. Seeing that Rebecca was going to prepare

the fruit, she offered to help.

Most of the time, Rebecca was very busy when she was at work. She didn't do any house chores when

she was home. In addition, she was quite distracted at that moment. Therefore, the fruit that she

prepared could only be described with the word "horrible"!

Looking at the fruit that Rebecca prepared, Aubree laughed softly and asked, "Would you like me to

make another one for you?"

Rebecca picked up a piece of mango, stuffed it into her mouth, and said "No. It tastes just right."

After that, Rebecca rushed back to the living room with the plate of appalling fruit as fast as she could.

Then, she put the plate in front of Abbot and said, "Mr. Carter, please help yourself."

When Rebecca finished speaking, Abbot didn't make any move. Rebecca's mother said with a cold

expression, "Mr. Carter, are you sure you didn't lie to me?"

Abbot answered with his jaw tightened, "No."

Rebecca's bent waist was trembling when she heard the conversation between the two and she had a

bad premonition inexplicably.

As expected, she heard her mother questioning her in the next second, "Did you take advantage of Mr.
