Chapter 459 Stubbornness

Seeing this, Andy frowned at him.

Lance raised an eyebrow and said, "Andy, understand?"

Andy asked sullenly, "Do you want me to kill you?"

Lance was speechless. He deeply felt that he was blessed. If he had not asked this question, he would

not know how he had died even after his corpse became cold.

Lance adjusted his emotions, walked over to Andy, and smiled casually, "I don't want you to kill me."

Andy asked, "Who do you want to kill?"

Lance said, "We're in a law-based society, so we must abide by the laws."

Then, he told Andy his plan. He wanted to use Nylah to induce Maxwell into showing up to avenge

Emmett. But she was very stubborn although she looked weak. The usual intimidations could not scare

her at all. So, Lance planned to let one of his subordinates pretend to be their hostage and then let

Andy pretend to kill the "hostage" in front of her.

Hearing his words, Andy looked at him with contempt. Lance coughed and embarrassedly touched the

tip of his nose with his hand. This kind of work was indeed unworthy of Andy's talents. But he had no

other choice because none of his subordinates could defeat Faye in fighting. Lance had thought about

it carefully before asking Andy for help.

After finishing speaking, Lance looked at him and said, "Andy, can you..."

When Lance bit the bullet to ask for help, Andy rolled his eyes at him and said, "Tell me when you need

me."

Hearing this, Lance was overjoyed and said, "Thank you!"

Andy replied, "Stupid."

Lance was at a loss for words again.

When Faye and Colin arrived in Alogow District, Lance who had a cigarette in his mouth and Nylah

were looking at each other in the basement.

Nylah was unkempt, biting her lower lip in silence.

The cigarette in Lance's mouth trembled when he sneered, "Aren't you in love with Hank? Why are you

protecting Maxwell? Have you transferred your affection to him?

Nylah snapped, "Don't talk nonsense."

Lance said, "If you don't want me to talk nonsense, call Maxwell. When he comes here, I will let you

go."

Then, he took the cigarette out of his mouth and flicked the ash, sneering, "To be honest, if you weren't

a woman, I would have long beaten you up."

Nylah took a deep breath and bit her lower lip again.

Seeing her put on the unyielding face again, Lance threw the cigarette on the ground, stubbed it out,

reached out to squeeze her chin, approached her, and said sullenly, "Nylah, don't try my patience."

He had put forth his strength, so she felt a sharp pain in her chin.

She took a deep breath and said, "Lance, do you think I'm a fool? You did not beat me because you're

afraid Faye will get angry, right? Otherwise, you would have long hit me. I know your character."

When Lance heard this, the look in his eyes turned cold.

He had never been a kind-hearted person. He had worked undercover beside Hank for many years. If Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

he were not capable, he would have long been killed.

When he was about to lose his temper, one of his subordinates suddenly ran in and whispered in his

ear, "Lance, Colin, and Faye arrived."

Hearing this, Lance released Nylah's chin, straightened up, looked down at her with a smile, and said,

"You're lucky."

Then, he turned around and walked out of the basement.

A few minutes later, they met in the villa.

Faye and Colin were sitting on the sofa, while Andy was standing opposite them.

Colin looked up at him and said in a deep voice, "Your injuries haven't healed, right? Sit down."

Andy stood still and refused, "No, thanks, Mr. Farrell. I'm fine."

Colin chuckled, "Just do as I said. Don't talk nonsense."

Andy fell silent.

When Andy was stuck in a dilemma, Lance entered the door, strode up to him, hooked his arm around

his shoulders, led him to the single sofa, and said, "Andy, don't you remember the doctor's words? Your

injuries haven't healed yet, so you need to have more rest and reduce strenuous exercise."

He calmly helped resolve Andy's embarrassment. When Andy looked up at him, the latter winked at the

former from an angle that no one else could see and said in a faint voice that only the two of them

could hear, "You're a patient now. Sit down."

Then, Lance stood up straight and walked over to Colin and Faye.

Faye asked, "Where's Nylah?"

Lance replied honestly, "In the basement."

Then, he added, "She is too stubborn! She hasn't told me anything yet."

Faye said lightly, "She's smart, so she knows that only by keeping silent can she survive."

If she told them anything, Lance might still go back on his words. Even if he fulfilled his promise and let

her go, Maxwell would kill her.

So, she could only zip her mouth.

When Faye finished speaking, the atmosphere in the living room became gloomy.

After more than ten seconds, Lance said, "Emmett has suffered a lot. I must avenge him!"

Hearing this, Faye frowned. When she was about to reply, Colin took out his phone and made a call.

When the call was answered, he said with a half-smile, "Maxwell, where are you now?"
