Chapter 454 A Serious Thing
Carlotta was unprepared when Jadon kissed her. His kiss was domineering and enthusiastic which was
quite different from his personality. And then, he pinned her hands on top of her head, making her
unable to move at all.
Carlotta was stunned for a long time and then began to struggle. Jadon was kissing her wholeheartedly
and did not let go until he found her struggling desperately. Then, he slowly buried his head in her neck
and muttered, "Carlotta..."
Hearing this, she froze in silence. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
He said in a hoarse voice, "Carlotta, be my girlfriend."
Carlotta had long blushed, and when she heard his words, her face became even redder.
Seeing her keep silent, Jadon took a deep breath and said, "I know you are afraid of dating a scumbag.
But you haven't tried it with me yet. How can you be sure that I am a scumbag?"
Carlotta replied, "I've never said you are a scumbag."
Jadon said, "Why don't you want to date me if you think I'm a good man?"
Carlotta was speechless. Yes, Jadon was a good man. Why didn't she agree to be his girlfriend? In the
final analysis, it was because of her sense of inferiority. Moreover, she feared being hurt. Carlotta did
not speak, so there was a moment of silence.
After a long while, she took a shallow breath and said, "Dr. Carter, you are confused by your illness."
Jadon was having a high fever, so his exhalations were hot, and they kept drilling into her collar.
Carlotta blushed and instinctively wanted to dodge them.
Seeing her intention, Jadon said in a deep voice, "Carlotta, don't leave me."
Carlotta was at a loss for words. She had never known a person could change so much after falling ill.
She wasn't sure whether he was confused by the fever or was still sober, so she kept trying to push
him away.
But Jadon insisted on keeping her in his arms, not letting go of her.
After about ten minutes, Carlotta pursed her lips and then said softly, "Dr. Carter, let go of me. I'll go out
to buy medicine for you."
Jadon retorted, "There's no drugstore nearby."
She said, "If so, I'll look elsewhere."
He asked, "Why are you going round the sun to meet the moon?"
She asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"
He said in a hoarse voice, "As long as I sweat, the high fever will be brought down."
She thought for a while and replied, "Do you need me to ask the hotel to cook some ginger soup for
you?"
Jadon said, "Don't bother the hotel. There's another way."
Carlotta fell silent, not knowing what he meant.
He suddenly approached her ear and whispered, "Carlotta, help me."
Before she could react, he lowered his head and licked her neck.
Carlotta shuddered and held her breath.
Unlike the sudden kiss just now, Jadon was extra cautious this time as if he was afraid she would
refuse.
Carlotta froze for a while and then subconsciously wanted to struggle.
But before she could do anything, he whispered in her ear, "Carlotta, I don't want to date you at all. I
want to marry you."
When she pursed her lips silently, he added, "I'm not a kid, so I know what I'm doing. I'm sure I like you
and want to spend the rest of my life with you."
People's willpower was always weaker at night. Carlotta's hands that hung by her sides were raised
and then put down. Jadon was acting as if boiling a frog in warm water. When Carlotta realized she
should jump out, she was almost cooked. Jadon did not push her hard but sounded out her bottom line
little by little.
Carlotta was conscious, so she knew if she decisively refused, he would never force her. After all,
Jadon was a real gentleman. But she swallowed the rejection on the tip of her tongue in the end. She
knew clearly that she liked him and had had a crush on him at first sight.
Tonight was bound to be long.
When Jadon entwined his fingers with hers, she gritted her teeth and said, "Jadon, I don't want to date
anyone."
Hearing this, he chuckled, "I know. So, we're getting married."
The moonlight was bright outside the window when the two people hugged on the huge bed.
The atmosphere in Jadon's room was hot, while that in Abbot's was cold.
He had smoked seven cigarettes in succession on the single sofa. The more he smoked, the more
upset he became. Finally, he couldn't bear it anymore, so he took the cigarette out of his mouth and
stubbed it out in the ashtray. Then he picked up his mobile phone and sent a message to Colin, asking,
"Colin, are you sleeping?"
Colin replied, "Tell me the date."
Abbot asked, "What do you mean?"
Colin asked, "Didn't you choose the date of your death?"
Abbot said, "I have something serious to talk to you about."
After he sent the message, there was no response from Colin. A few minutes later, someone knocked
on the door of his room. He quickly got up from the sofa and walked to open the door.
Colin stood outside the door in a nightgown, looked at him with a half-smile, and asked, "Come on, tell
me about the serious thing."
Then, he wrapped his arm around Abbot's shoulders and walked in.
Abbot's face was gloomy when they walked to the sofa. And before Colin could sit down, he asked with
a frown, "Colin, if a woman always wants to do that thing to you, what will you do?"
