On the way to the hotel where Jadon's class reunion was held, Abbot kept his eyes closed while taking

a nap and did not say one more word.

When Faye looked at him through the rear-view mirror, she found he was angry but didn't dare to lose

She smiled, "I will."

When they were talking intimately, Abbot looked up at the sky, standing less than half a meter from

them.

Chatting with Faye for a while, Colin turned to look at Abbot and asked, "Abbot, what do you want to

eat?"

Abbot pretended to be surprised when asking, "Do I still deserve to have dinner with you?"

Colin said, "You're allowed to order two dishes."

Abbot replied, "Thank you so much."

Colin teased, "We're best friends, so I can't bear to watch you starve to death."

Abbot let out a hollow laugh.

Colin had booked the private room opposite the one where Jadon's class reunion was held in advance.

After the three of them entered the private room, Colin took over the menu and ordered several dishes

that Faye and Abbot liked.

Hearing him ordering dishes, Abbot leaned back in the seat and tutted, "What a scheming man! Do you

intend to buy me over with such small favors?"

Colin handed the menu back to the waiter and turned to look at Abbot.

When Abbot noticed his gaze, he looked into his eyes and said, "Humph! Man!"

Colin was speechless.

After a while, all the dishes were served. Then, the three of them began to eat while chatting about

Jadon and Carlotta.

Abbot sighed, "I've never expected Uncle Jadon could have a girlfriend."

Colin teased, "Do you dare to say it to him?"

Abbot rolled his eyes at him and asked, "Why? Why would I court death?"

Colin mocked, "But you're courting death all the time."

When they were bickering, Colin's cell phone on the dining table suddenly rang.

He glanced down and saw York's name, so he stopped smiling, picked up the phone, and said, "York,

what's up?"

York said, "Colin, Old Mr. Farrell is dying."

Colin said, "What?"

York said in a calm tone, "The doctor said that he might die at any time tonight."

Colin remained silent for a while and then replied in a deep voice, "I'm going back right away."

After hanging up, he turned the phone around in his hand, looked at Abbot, and said, "My grandfather

is dying, so I need to go back now."

When Abbot heard this, a piece of sparerib between his teeth fell on the table. And then, he said, "It is

sudden."

Colin shook his head, "It's not sudden. He has been sick for a while."

Then, he stood up, buttoned his jacket, and said to Faye with a smile, "Honey, will you accompany me

back?"

Faye nodded, "Sure."

Abbot said, "If you both go, how can I eat so many dishes alone?"

Colin teased, "If you think you can't eat alone, you can call Rebecca and ask her to come here to eat

with you."

Hearing Rebecca, Abbot stopped smiling. And then, he waved his hand at Colin and said with an

unnatural expression, "Why do you just love to air others' dirty laundry? Hurry up and go. I feel

annoyed when looking at you."

Colin raised his eyebrows and asked, "Why? Did you quarrel with her?"

Abbot retorted awkwardly, "No! Why would I quarrel with her?"

Colin smiled, but he did not reply because he was in a hurry to leave.

Getting out of the hotel, he drove straight to the Farrells' Mansion.

On the way, Faye reached out to hold his hand.

Colin raised his eyebrows slightly, turned his head to look at her, and asked, "Are you afraid I will feel

sad?"

She said honestly, "A little bit."

He showed a smile on his thin lips and said, "Don't worry. I am not that emotional."

Blood was thicker than water?

Although they were related by blood, they had no family affection, so Colin sometimes felt more

unfamiliar with his grandfather than with a stranger.

Hearing his words, Faye smiled.

She had long guessed his thoughts. But hearing him say it made her feel more at ease.

Things would become like this when one fell in love. Even though she knew this would not hurt him,

she was still worried.

When they arrived at the Farrells' Mansion, they got out of the car one after another.

Then, they walked side by side inside. As soon as they entered the hallway, a servant walked up to

them, leaned over, and whispered, "Sir, York asked me to tell you that your father died in prison."
