Chapter 407 The Soft-Hearted One
Faye's expression changed, and everything seemed to suddenly became clear.
Nylah was with Maxwell.
The last time Nylah came to her and told her that she knew the secrets about the Farrells, her original
intention wasn't to discuss cooperation at all, but to figure out whether Lance was sent by her.
But Faye was stupid and asked Lance to approach Nylah to ask for the information.
She fell right into the trap.
After Faye figured out that point, she narrowed her eyes and thought to herself, "I was too careless."
Faye sat down while clutching onto her phone. Then, she sent a message to Lance, "How are you
now? Are you all safe?"
Lance replied, "We're still safe for now."
Faye continued, "Feel free to contact me if there is anything."
Lance answered, "Don't worry, if something happens, I will let Andy handle it and I will escape first."
After sending the message to Lance, Faye became more and more restless.
If she hadn't underestimated her opponent, that wouldn't have happened.
After getting off the car, Faye took the elevator and went upstairs.
When she arrived at the office of the public relations department, Faye strode into her office.
Compared with yesterday, the office of the public relations department seemed quieter today.
There was nothing serious except for two stars who were revealed to be not single.
After Faye entered her office, she made herself a cup of coffee. Then, she stood upright in front of the
floor-to-ceiling window and drank half of it. She took out her mobile phone and sent a message to
Colin, "Are you coming to the office today?"
Colin replied after a while, "Yes, but I'll be late."
Faye responded, "Um."
Colin continue, "I went out with Abbot just now."
Faye asked, "For a checkup?"
Colin replied, "No. We went next door to get Maxwell agitated." Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
Even if Faye didn't see it with her own eyes, she could imagine how arrogant Abbot would look when
he was provoking Maxwell.
She couldn't help laughing. After that, she sent a message to Colin, "Nylah is with Maxwell."
After the message was sent, Colin called her directly in the next second.
Faye answered it and said, "Hello."
Colin's voice was low and he was laughing. It was obvious that he didn't take Nylah seriously and said,
"Nylah able to act so well?"
Faye took a light sip of the coffee and said, "Well, I didn't notice it."
Colin tried to ease her and said, "She is just a nobody. Nothing to worry about."
Faye said, "But this nobody manage to figure out all the spies I placed on the outside."
Colin said solemnly, "Well, it isn't something difficult to find out it's Lance if the others want to
investigate. It's just that Blaine is too stupid and Tiffany is too self-confident, so they didn't find out all
these years."
Faye looked at the building not far away and said, "Indeed."
Colin laughed and said, "Besides, as you said just now, they are just the spies on the outside and
meant to be the cover-up."
Faye pursed her lips slightly, didn't deny it, and said, "Although these were discussed and agreed by
the few of us at the beginning, I still don't want them to be in any danger."
Colin replied in a deep voice, "I understand."
After Colin finished speaking, Faye was about to say something but her office door was knocked on
from outside.
Faye turned around and said, 'Come in'. Then, she told Colin, who was on the phone, "I have
something to attend to. I got to go."
Colin's voice was seductive and pleasant, "Dear, I miss you."
Faye was speechless.
Colin said, "I'll hang up now."
After that, Colin disconnected the call.
Faye moved the blacked-out mobile phone to her front and her ears turned red without her noticing.
Faye stared at the phone screen for a few seconds before Galen pushed the door open.
"Ms. Nash."
Faye returned to her senses, restrained her emotions, and put the phone in her pocket. Then, she
raised her eyes and said calmly, "What's wrong?"
Galen was holding a folder in her hand and she looked at Faye cautiously, "It's a termination contract
sent by Mr. Ford."
Faye was confused, "Huh?"
Galen stepped forward and handed the folder to Faye.
Faye took the folder and walked to her desk. She put down her coffee cup and flipped through the
contract.
It was the contract between Mr. Ford and Fanny in a new movie, and one-fifth of the scene had been
filmed.
Galen said, "After they were done with the previous movie, Mr. Ford found that Fanny was acting very
well. Therefore, he invited Fanny to be the protagonist in his new movie. When Fanny's incident
happened, the filming had already started."
Faye was silent.
Galen added, "This contract should have been given to Rex, but he has resigned and returned to his
hometown."
Since Fanny's incident, Faye had never contacted anyone or anything related to her.
It seemed like it had happened a long time ago.
After Galen finished speaking, she saw that Faye never said a word. She pursed her lips and asked,
"Ms. Nash, about Mr. Ford..."
Faye responded, "Contact Mr. Ford and say that I will pay for the liquidated damages."
That was the answer Galen had expected, and she said, "Okay."
Faye looked at the contract with her head down. Suddenly, a photo of Fanny fell out of the contract.
Faye was stunned for a moment. Then, she bent over to pick it up.
Seeing that, Galen quickly picked it up before Faye could reach it and hid it behind her.
Faye raised her eyes and said, "Give it to me."
Galen took a few steps back and looked flustered. She forced a smile and said, "Ms. Nash, do you
want more coffee? I'll get you another cup."
Faye knew that Galen was being kind. She stood up, stretched out her hand, and said resignedly,
"Galen, I'm not as vulnerable as you think."
Galen shook her head.
Faye said, "I know you're doing it for my own good."
Galen didn't say anything.
Faye continued, "Thank you."
Galen pursed the corners of his lips into a straight line and said, "Ms. Nash, it's over. I know you have a
good relationship with Fanny but she is gone and cannot be resurrected. We have to move on."
Faye smiled lightly and said, "I understand."
Galen looked awkward and said, "So..."
Faye said, "So, you have to give me that photo. I want to move on. First of all, I have to cross this
hurdle in my heart."
Faye's words made Galen unable to refute.
Galen stared straight at Faye and hesitated for a while before she gave away the photo in her hand to
Faye.
In that photo, Fanny smiled brightly. It was just like the night they both got drunk in the hospital.
Fanny said to her, "Ms. Nash, I want to become someone like you."
What kind of person was she?
Faye was fascinated by the photo and said suddenly, "Galen, please help me to contact Mr. Ford and
tell him that I am willing to pay five times the liquidated damages. But, there is one condition. The
scenes of Fanny in that movie will not be removed."
Galen was stunned, "What...What?"
Faye continued, "Just do it as I say."
Galen didn't do much filming in her life, let alone being the protagonist. It was probably the only and
last thing she could do for Fanny.
Hearing Faye's words, Galen was stunned for a while. Then, she responded with an "okay".
When Galen was about to turn around and leave, Faye added, "Galen, tell Mr. Ford that if he agrees
with my term, Farrell Media will help him in all the propaganda."
Galen replied, "Um."
Faye continued, "The contract that Fanny breaches would be more than just with Mr. Ford. If anyone
comes to ask for it, you can contact me at any time."
Galen answered, "Okay, Ms. Nash."
After Galen left, Faye got up and poured herself a glass of water. Then, she was drinking it in small
sips.
After finishing the glass of water, her mood was completely adjusted.
It was ten o'clock in the evening, in Bomsville.
Andy and Lance were at the Heaven of Bomsville
Lance was wearing a floral shirt with an open collar. He was holding a glass of wine, surrounding and
flirting with a group of women.
Andy was sitting on the couch next to him in an upright position with his hands on his lap. He was
keeping a cold expression the whole time and didn't move much.
