Chapter 398 I Wonder If You Could Use the Money in Your Next Life
These victims came so quickly.
They had spontaneously organized a protest campaign at the entrance of Farrell Media when this
matter was not spread.
Galen fixed her eyes on Faye after finishing the words.
Rubbing the holder of the cup, Faye pondered for a while. Then she looked up and asked, "How many
protesters?"
Galen replied, "Many. Roughly at least fifty people."
Faye instructed, "Ask the security guards not to resort to violence."
Galen replied, "Okay. I will inform the security guards right away."
She then turned around and left.
Faye slightly pressed her lips, seeming to be pondering something.
It wouldn't be a tough matter if only the endorser and customers were involved.
However, when it concluded the benefits of the other parties, or when someone was trying to intensify
the conflicts behind the scene, it would become a tough nut.
Faye's silence made Charlie nervous.
"Ms. Nash, is this a tough nut?" asked Charlie.
Faye looked askance at Charlie and then landed her gaze on his manager, instructing, "Don't deny any
doubts from the public."
Charlie's manager said, "Okay."
Faye continued, "You may go out now. But don't leave the company right away. Wait for a while." noveldrama
Charlie's manager nodded. After thanking Faye, he left the office with Charlie.
Shortly after that, Galen came back in a hurry.
It was cold now, but Galen's forehead was covered with a layer of sweat.
"Ms. Nash, it's a tough problem. Their leaders don't look like ordinary victims. We can tell that they're
gangsters at a glance.
Faye had expected this. She tapped on her desk casually.
Seeing that Faye was pondering something, Galen didn't disturb her. She waited quietly aside.
About half a minute later, Faye broke the silence, "I remember that Sure Wheels rose in the past year.
Right?"
Galen replied, "Yes."
It was an unknown company that had been established and run for several years, but it developed so
quickly a year ago through a bizarre method.
It was probably a trick.
Faye instructed, "Designate two senior staff to take those victims to our meeting room for a rest."
Galen replied, "Okay."
Faye said blandly, "You just need to console them. Don't reply to any questions. Remember, mind your
attitudes."
Galen nodded and said, "I see. Are you afraid that someone may shoot the scene secretly?"
Faye replied, "Yep."
Galen then left the office again. Faye picked up her phone from the desk, shifted the SIM card to her
personal number, and dialed a number.
When the call was answered, a sonorous voice sounded from the other end of the phone. "Hello, who's
calling?"
Faye asked in a pretended gentle voice, "Mr. Grant, Mr. Camden wants to invite you for dinner. Are you
free tonight?"
The other party replied with a smile, "Of course. When?"
Faye faked as if she was asking someone. Several seconds later, she talked into the phone, "Seven
o'clock, in Marriott Hotel. I'll send you the room number later."
Mr. Grant replied, "Okay."
Faye's expression turned cold when she ended the call.
The one Faye called just now was Edward Grant, the president of Sure Wheels.
...
At 7 p.m., Faye drove to Marriott Hotel."
On the way there, Faye called Colin.
When Colin answered the call, Faye told him honestly, "I'll go back late tonight. I need to go to Marriott
Hotel."
Colin had never asked about the stars in his company. He asked in a lazy, smiling voice, "Why are you
going there?"
Faye replied, "There's something wrong with Charlie's endorsement, and I suspect he was tricked by
Maxwell."
Colin said after a while of silence, "Take care."
Faye replied, "Okay."
She then hung up her phone and drove the car into the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel.
Several minutes later, Faye walked into the private room she had reserved in advance.
Edward hadn't arrived yet, and she was the only person in the room.
Sitting in the room, Faye drank the tea leisurely. When it was about half past seven, Edward finally
came.
He pushed open the door and walked in while exchanging greetings without even taking a glance at the
person in the room, "Maxwell, didn't you say we'd better not contact each other these days? I'm really
sorry. It was rush hour and the traffic was very hea..."
Edward paused as he was dumbfounded when he spotted Faye and stood on the spot.
He knew Faye. His hand which was holding the doorknob became stiff. Nonetheless, cunning and
experienced as he was, several seconds later, his stiff expression was replaced by a smile of
composure and he explained, "Ms. Nash, I'm sorry. This is not my room."
Faye stopped him, "Mr. grant. You didn't enter the wrong room. It was me who invited you here."
Edward was lost for words.
Faye asked with a smile, "Mr. Grant, why not sit down to have a talk? Or do you want me to call
Maxwell here to have a talk together?"
Edward's expression became stiff. In the end, he closed the door of the room and strode in smilingly.
He casually pulled out a chair and sat down. Faye stood up and poured a cup of tea for him politely.
Edward secretly took out his phone when Faye didn't pay attention to him and texted a message with
his phone under the table.
(Edward) Maxwell, Faye tricked me...
Before he could complete the sentence, Faye's cold voice sounded in the room. "Mr. Grant, this room
can automatically block the signal. Probably you can't send out the message."
Edward was lost for words.
Faye pushed the teacup to him and said blandly, "For illegal fundraising with an amount over one
million dollars, the criminal will be sentenced to a set term of imprisonment of more than ten years or
life imprisonment. I wonder if you could use the money in your next life."
What do you think?
