Chapter 336 Matchmaker
Hearing her words, Carlotta knocked over a bottle of wine in a panic.
She grabbed a rag to wipe the cabinet and said with a flushed face, "No!"
Faye knew she was thin-skinned, so she had never expected her to admit it. But she said softly, "Jadon Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
is a reliable man."
Carlotta said, "I, I only regard him as my doctor."
Faye said, "I hope you can be happy for the rest of your life."
She did not want Carlotta to repeat her mother's mistake.
Hearing this, Carlotta fell silent.
After cleaning up the kitchen, Faye and Carlotta went out of the kitchen.
Cindy was still lying on the sofa, so Carlotta fetched a blanket from her bedroom and covered her.
When Faye stepped toward Colin, he tilted his head and smiled, "Have you finished the cleaning?"
Faye nodded.
Colin took her hand, held it tightly, and said in a low voice, "I was afraid Aunt Carlotta would feel
embarrassed, so I did not go in to help."
Faye smiled, "I didn't intend to let you help."
Hearing this, Colin squeezed her hand and entwined his fingers with hers.
His little movements always made her feel warm.
Faye pursed her lips and turned to look at the living room. Seeing that Carlotta had returned to her
bedroom, she said, "Do you think Jadon likes my aunt?"
Colin lowered his eyes and asked, "You want to fix Aunt Carlotta and Jadon up?"
Faye answered honestly, "Yes."
Colin said, "I think he likes her."
When a man had a crush on a woman, he could not hide it no matter how hard he tried.
When Colin and Faye had gone to Jadon's home to pick up Carlotta, the atmosphere between Jadon
and Carlotta had told others that they liked each other although they had not said anything about it.
But because of their ages and characters, they were not as passionate as young people.
Hearing Colin's answer, Faye thought for a moment and asked, "Will the Carters mind Aunt Carlotta's
ordinary family background?"
Colin teased, "Does Abbot look like a man raised by people who despised common families?"
Hearing him mention Abbot, Faye inexplicably laughed and then said, "No."
Seeing her laughing, Colin teased, "Honey, your laugh will hurt Abbot's feelings."
Faye laughed louder. When she was about to reply, her phone suddenly rang.
She was worried that things in Roxford would cause big trouble, so she took out her phone from her
pocket with a serious face.
Seeing Emmett's name on the phone screen, she froze for a second and answered the call in front of
Colin, saying, "Emmett, what's up?"
The other end of the phone was very noisy, so she guessed he was in a pub now.
Emmett shouted, "Faye, do you have time now? Can you come to Melody Lane!"
Faye asked, "What's wrong?"
Emmett replied, "Helen is here with me!"
Faye frowned, "What is she doing there?"
Emmett said in a hoarse voice, "I don't know. She is insane! She is drunk! She found me, gave me a
bank card for me, and said she wants me to be her kept man!"
Faye kept silent after hearing this, so Emmett continued, "Do you have time? If not, I'll call Lance. You
don't know..."
Before he could finish speaking, she interrupted, "Wait for me. I'll be there within half an hour."
Hanging up the phone, she looked at Colin and said, "I need to go to Melody Lane now. Helen is drunk.
She told Emmett that she wants him to be her kept man."
In a private room of Melody Lane Box, Helen drunkenly grabbed Emmett's collar and said, "Aren't you
a gigolo? You will be willing to do anything as long as I give you money, right? I'll give you the money
now, and you'll belong to me from now on."
Emmett was wearing a very gaudy pink satin shirt and had a very pretty face. To be honest, he indeed
looked like a gigolo.
Emmett raised his arms in surrender. Even though his collar was torn open, he didn't care but smiled
cynically, "Ms. Farrell, it is improper for men and women to touch each other like this. Can you let go of
me?"
Helen asked, "Aren't you a prostitute? Why can't I touch you?"
