Chapter 327 Lucky to Meet You
Faye looked at Colin in confusion as if she hadn't come out of her trance.
It wasn't until he touched the back of her neck with his big hand and pressed his forehead against hers
that her eyes slowly began to focus on his face.
"Colin."
Colin showed a smile on his thin lips and asked, "What are you thinking?"
Faye's palms were somehow covered by a thin layer of sweat, but she replied, "Nothing."
He asked in a deep voice, "Is it because the atmosphere in the Farrells is too bad that you feel ill at
ease?"
She shook her head, "No."
Colin smiled, "Tell me if you feel uncomfortable. And I'll take you home right away."
After he paused for a few seconds, he added dotingly, "We will go back to our home."
Faye took a deep breath and nodded.
During lunch, Old Mr. Farrell was carried downstairs by servants in a wheelchair.
At the dining table, when Tiffany was taking care of everyone as usual, Blaine said a few auspicious
words as a routine.
When the young generation watched them act, they showed different expressions.
After the meal, Old Mr. Farrell sat still, so the others could only accompany him.
He put his hands on his knees and scanned everyone from Blaine to Faye.
After a long while, he said in a hoarse voice, "Blaine, when the Registry of Marriages opens, go there
with Tiffany to get a divorce!"
After Old Mr. Farrell finished speaking, Helen reacted before her parents.
The juice glass in her hand fell to the ground, making a crisp cracking sound.
Everyone at the table instantly looked at her.
Helen's face flushed before she said with tears in her eyes, "It was an accident."
Old Mr. Farrell said solemnly, "You are not a kid anymore. I will let your parents look for a suitable
husband for you after the holiday. Get married as soon as possible."
Helen said emotionally, "Grandpa, no!"
Old Mr. Farrell replied in a firm tone, "I've made up my mind."
Seeing her keep silent, he added, "My health is getting worse every day. If I die, you might not be able
to marry a decent man at all."
Helen pursed her lips when big tears fell down her cheeks.
Old Mr. Farrell glanced at her, closed his eyes, and waved his hand at York, saying, "York, I'm tired."
Hearing this, York immediately asked the two servants to carry him upstairs.
After he left, the atmosphere in the dining room suddenly changed.
Tiffany gave Blaine a contemptuous look and mocked, "Mr. Farrell, you finally got what you want."
Blaine glared at her with a gloomy face and said, "You also got what you want."
After Old Mr. Farrell had made the statement at noon, the Farrells didn't even bother to act any longer
in the evening.
When it was time for dinner, the dining room was empty.
After the New Year's Eve dinner was ready, a servant walked up to York and asked, "Mr. Blake, what
should we do now? Should I go to remind them of the dinner one by one?"
York replied, "If they all stay upstairs until midnight, dump the food."
The servant said hesitatingly, "Are you sure?"
York said, "If you don't dare, wait here until tomorrow."
In a bedroom on the second floor.
Faye was too sleepy to open her eyes, but she still asked, "Is it OK if we don't go downstairs for
dinner?"
Colin leaned against the head of the bed, looked down at her, and stroked her hair, saying, "Don't
worry. No one will go downstairs for dinner tonight."
Faye hadn't slept well for several days in a row, so she was so sleepy that she became slow in reaction
and asked, "Why?"
Colin replied, "My grandfather has already stated that the family is going to break up at noon, so no
one will continue to act at night."
She said, "But the Farrells like to act the most, right?"
Colin teased, "They're tired of it too."
Faye slept from seven o'clock in the evening until early in the morning.
If she hadn't been woken up by Rebecca's call, she would probably sleep until dawn.
Faye took the phone over and answered the call with a frown. Before she could speak, Rebecca said
happily on the other end of the phone, "Faye, Happy New Year!"
Faye was speechless.
Without waiting for her to reply, Rebecca continued, "It's early in the morning now! Aren't you very
moved to receive my call?"
Faye took a deep breath and said, "I was sleeping."
Hearing this, Rebecca coughed lightly and said, "Everyone is celebrating New Year's Day! You should
not have gone to bed so early! Moreover, even if I had not called you, Tanner would call you soon."
Faye answered lazily, "He has already sent me a blessing message in the day."
Rebecca said, "But he still may call you at night!"
Faye said, "He is in his hometown now."
Rebecca was embarrassed and said, "Well, if so, he may not call you. After all, the phone signal there
is poor."
After Faye and Rebecca had a brief chat on the phone, the latter hung up reluctantly.
But she soon sent a message, asking, "Fay, can you send me a blessing message?"
Faye replied, "I wish you booming business and a river of gold flow into your pockets."
Rebecca said, "You indeed know me well."
Then, she sent her a heart emoji.
Seeing it, Faye couldn't help laughing.
Putting down the phone, she subconsciously turned her head to look at Colin's position beside her and
was stunned when finding he was gone.
Before she could react, the sky outside the window was suddenly ablaze with a spectacular firework
display.
Hearing the sound, she turned her head aside. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
In the dark sky, colorful fireworks formed a string of words, saying, "Faye, I am lucky to meet you."
