Chapter 325 Doctors Don't Treat Themselves
On New Year's Eve this year, it was humming with life in the Farrells' Mansion.
After breakfast, some senior executives in the company came to visit with gifts.
Tiffany and Blaine received them warmly, looking like a loving couple.
Those senior executives were sophisticated. They all had already heard about the incident that Tiffany
was caught cheating on Blaine last night. It was known to everyone in the circle, but they pretended not
to be in the know and played along.
Faye was making pies with the maids in the kitchen as she did a few years ago.
What made it different was that Helen surprisingly showed up and helped them in the kitchen. She
compressed her lips and stood close to Faye.
"Faye."
Faye put the piecrust in her hand aside. Looking at Helen who was whisking the flour clumsily, Faye
said softly, "Just go out to chill."
Helen uttered, "Faye, I want to talk to you."
Faye said, "Go ahead."
Helen meticulously lowered her voice and said, "This is not the place to talk."
Faye looked sideways at Helen. Seeing the fear and eagerness in her eyes, Faye arched her brows
and uttered, "Hmm?"
Helen pressed her lips together and added, "Can I have a word with you in my bedroom after we finish
making the pies later?"
Faye answered calmly, "Sure."
There were many maids in the mansion, so it didn't even take them twenty minutes to get the job done.
After making pies, Faye went to wash his hands, and Helen was at her heels.
Helen grew up as a spoiled kid in the family. Although she got involved in some of Tiffany's doings, she
was innocent and frank.
Helen was like an open book, so Faye saw her through effortlessly.
A few minutes later, Faye reached Helen's bedroom.
Helen stood at the door with her hands crossed, looking very nervous. "Faye," said she.
Faye lowered her head and lifted her cuff to check the time, uttering, "Only for ten minutes. I'm afraid
Colin will look for me if it's too long."
Speaking of Colin, Helen's face changed; she then compressed her lips.
Faye asked, "Still wanna talk?"
Helen looked up at Faye. She bolstered her courage and opened her mouth, "Will you and Colin finally NôvelDrama.Org content.
kick my mom and us out of the Farrells?"
Faye said without turning a hair, "I don't know what you're talking about."
Helen looked at her with reddened eyes and continued, "You don't have to keep it from me. I've already
known everything."
Faye forced a smile, uttering, "Helen, you are the purest person in this family."
Helen was wordless.
Faye said, "If there is nothing else, I'm leaving now."
With that, Faye was about to walk away.
Helen immediately grabbed Faye's cuff and said, "That time I showed you Jared's dead body, I just
wanted to scare you. I..."
Faye said lightly, "I know."
Helen added, "I just wanted my brother to be the president of Farrell Media. I didn't want any of you to
die."
Faye uttered, "Mm-hmm."
She broke free of Helen's grip quietly, opened the door, and left.
As Helen watched the door close, her legs turned to jelly, and she slumped to the ground.
Helen had a tingling feeling in her scalp at the moment and fell into a trance.
Helen had a deep-rooted prejudice against Colin since he was an illegitimate child of the Farrells, and
his existence was a huge disgrace to the family.
He led a peaceful life in the mansion, and Tiffany had always loved him so much, yet he was such an
ingrate.
Tiffany once told her that Colin was ruthless, so they had to fight against Colin for property in case
Colin was in charge of the family and cast them out of the mansion.
Tiffany also said that when Hank took over Farrell Media, he would still let Colin play a part in the group
business and would not push Colin to the wall.
At that time, Helen believed that her mother was indeed kind-hearted.
However, the truth now was completely different from the information she had gotten over the years.
Just when Faye walked out of Helen's bedroom, her phone in her pocket buzzed.
Faye fished out her phone and saw a New Year message from Fanny.
The message was not long but sincere. It was definitely not mass texting.
[Ms. Nash, I wish you every success in your work in the new year and have a baby with Mr. Farrell
ASAP.]
Faye stared at the phone screen and could not help breaking into a smile before replying: [Thank you,
and wish you a bright future.]
Faye was about to put her phone back into her pocket when there was an incoming call from Jake.
Faye picked it up as she walked into her bedroom. "Hello," said she.
Jake said, "Happy New Year."
Faye uttered, "Happy New Year."
Jake asked, "When are you going to start your treatment?"
Faye closed the door and answered, "After the 15th."
Jake hesitated for a few seconds before asking, "Are you sure you're not gonna tell Colin?"
Faye compressed her lips and said, "I'm sure."
Jake sighed and continued, "Actually, I think you are in a good condition now and don't have to receive
treatment. You and Colin have married anyway. Just keep it like this. Maybe there will be miracles..."
While he was murmuring, Jake was interrupted by Faye as she uttered, "Jake."
Jake was confused. "Hmm?"
Faye asked, "Are you celebrating New Year's Eve alone today?"
Jake was silent.
Faye continued, "You're almost having a relapse. Is there anybody by your side?"
Jake choked up and suddenly dissolved into laughter. "Doctors don't treat themselves."
Faye asked with a frown, "Need my help?"
