Chapter 318 What a Surprise
Hearing what York said, Old Mr. Farrell was struck dumb with his mouth open.
The atmosphere suddenly turned tense in the bedroom.
For a long time, Old Mr. Farrell’s hands kept trembling on his laps. "Is… is it Colin?" asked he.
York answered, "Colin scorned to play dirty like this."
Looking at Old Mr. Farrell, whose eyes were wide open, York leaned over and whispered into his ear,
"It’s Madame Farrell, who you protected for most of your life. She bribed the doctor to tamper with your
medicine."
Colin and Faye came out of Old Mr. Farrell's bedroom wordlessly.
After taking a few steps, Faye came to a halt and look towards Colin.
Noticing that, Colin stopped in his tracks and broke into a smile. "Hmm?"
Faye uttered, "Did the Farrells do anything to you back then?"
Colin said smilingly, "Why did you ask that?"
Faye answered honestly, "My gut feeling tells me that."
Colin met Faye’s eyes. A few seconds later, he reached out to hug her into his arms, one hand around
her waist and the other on the back of her neck. He held her tightly and uttered in a throaty voice, "It's
past."
Colin did not deny it.
Faye suddenly felt a knot in her stomach as she said, "Colin."
Colin chuckled and said, "If you feel sorry for me, just be nice to me for the rest of your life."
Faye compressed her lips and uttered, "OK."
Colin rubbed his thin lips in Faye's hair and stated, "Baby, for so many birthday wishes they said to me,
I care about none of them."
With that, he hugged Faye even more tightly and continued, "I don't care about whether I have a
peaceful and smooth life. All I want is to be with you for the rest of my life."
Faye reached out to hug Colin back. A tinge of bitterness rose in her heart inexplicably. "I will," said
she.
When Colin and Faye went downstairs, Ethan's assistant was already waiting in the living room.
Catching sight of Colin, the assistant laid three share transfer contracts on the coffee table, saying, "Mr.
Farrell."
Colin casually flipped through a few pages and then handed them to Tiffany. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
Worring the delay in signing would trigger some bad outcome, Tiffany hurriedly took out a pen from the
drawer and signed her name on the three contracts. She then pushed them back to Colin. "Colin," said
she.
Colin took the contracts and the pen from Tiffany and signed the contracts.
After that, Tiffany finally felt a weight off her shoulders and looked at Colin smilingly, uttering, "I have
asked someone to transfer money to your bank account. You can check it."
Colin leaned back into the couch with an unruly smile. "I believe you," said he.
With that, Tiffany laughed and uttered, "We have been living in the same mansion for so many years.
Surely, we have faith in each other."
Then, Tiffany took a provocative look at Blaine and added, "Unlike someone."
Now that the matter of shares had been settled, what to do next was about the family skeleton.
Ethan's men had always had sharp eyes. Seeing that Colin and Tiffany had signed the contracts, they
said goodbye and left.
There were only the Farrells left in the living room. Blaine looked gloomily at Tiffany and questioned,
"Now that the kids are all here, just tell us who the guy next to you is."
Tiffany had acquired the shares, so she was not as afraid of Blaine as she used to do. Instead, she
taunted, "The kids are all grown-ups now. Do you think they don't know those sex scandals of yours out
there all these years?"
Blaine huffed, "I am a man!"
The sarcasm looked more obvious on Tiffany's face as she stated, "Blaine, are you still living in the last
century? You’ve been sleeping around outside all these years and never came home. Do you even
expect me to be a loyal grass widow for you?"
Tiffany and Blaine fought nonstop.
Colin leaned lazily on the couch. His eyes fell on the man behind Tiffany.
Just now he was only focused on signing the contracts and paid no heed to that guy. As he sized the
guy up, Colin found that the guy looked indeed handsome.
Nonetheless, his face rang a bell.
While Colin looked that guy up and down, the latter was also looking at Colin.
Their gazes met; the man grinned at Colin.
At that moment, Colin suddenly came to realize whom the man looked like.
Lance!
The man protected by Tiffany looked a lot like Lance.
Colin was amused and looked away meaningfully. He then tilted his head and whispered to Faye,
"Baby, are you hungry? Would you like some snacks?"
Faye said in a low voice, "Nope."
Colin asked again, "How about Yogurt with Granola?"
Faye's eye glistened.
Colin chuckled and continued, "I'll let the maid prepare it."
Colin signaled to a maid and said in a low voice, "Go and make a serving of Yogurt with Granola for my
wife."
Faye asked Colin, "Don't you wanna have some?"
Colin said with a smile, "I'll share it with you."
The maid left with the order. Colin raised his eyes, only to find that the man behind Tiffany was staring
at Faye intently.
Colin squinted, gloom in his eyes.
The man sensed Colin’s stare. He raised his hand and touched the tip of his nose before looking away.
Faye had seen the two guys’ moves. She couldn’t help curving up the corner of her mouth and
whispered to Colin, "Stop boring into him. He’s my guy."
Colin lightly arched his brows in confusion, "Um?"
