Chapter 312 The Underlying Turbulence

Faye had never said anything like that before.

It was in the dead of night. Faye could clearly hear her pounding heartbeat.

Maybe to others, those words were simply birthday wishes.

However, it took all Faye's courage to say them out.

Colin tightened his grip on her waist and said in a husky voice, "Baby, what did you say?"

Faye took a deep breath and uttered, "May my dear, for the rest of his life..."

Before Faye finished, Colin interrupted her in a low and calm voice, "Enough."

She said "my dear", which was all that mattered to him.

Faye compressed her lips. Colin ran his hands from her waist to her face. Cupping her face, he kissed

her fiercely.

It was a wonderful night for both of them.

Colin turned around and took the dominant position. Faye's legs hooked around his waist. A crisp bell

ring sounded particularly pleasant in the darkness.

Hearing the sound, Colin came to a halt and looked down at Faye.

In the moonlight, Faye arched her thin waist.

Desire visible in his eyes, Colin uttered in a throaty voice, "A whole night."

Faye's eyes glistened as she said, "You're the boss."

Colin said, "Don't cry later."

Faye uttered, "Try me."

When the sky was faintly bright outside, Faye saw the sunrise in front of the floor-to-ceiling window with

her fingers interlocked with Colin's.

There was some sweat on the tip of Faye's nose. Colin kissed her on the nape of her neck, saying,

"Next time in the office."

Faye's legs turned to jelly. "At night on weekend," said she.

Colin chuckled. "Sounds good."

Early in the morning.

After enjoying themselves for the whole night, Faye leaned in Colin's arms and didn't want to move at

all. At the same time, Cindy knocked on the door and reminded them to have breakfast.

Colin hugged her from behind. He then chuckled and uttered, "Get up and grab some food."

Faye's voice was a little hoarse when she said, "No, I'm good."

Colin ridiculed, "So tired?"

Faye didn't reply. She moved slightly and buried her head in the pillow. Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Seeing that, Colin smiled more wildly. He picked up the robe on the floor, put it on, and went out.

Cindy was still outside the door. Catching sight of Colin, she was taken aback and asked, " Mr. Farrell,

doesn't Miss Nash want to have breakfast?"

Colin uttered, "Yes. I'll bring it to her."

That didn't surprise Cindy at all, but she couldn't help blushing and said, "Got it. I'll go get it prepared."

Cindy hurried downstairs, followed by Colin.

Cindy was aware that today was Colin's birthday, so she made some delicacies.

It could be seen that she put her mind into them since the delicacies looked so appetizing and fancy.

Colin took them from Cindy and thanked her.

Cindy hesitated for a moment before saying, "Happy birthday, Mr. Farrell."

Colin cracked a smile and uttered, "Thank you."

Colin took the delicacies upstairs. Watching Colin leave, Cindy couldn't help but think, "Mr. Farrell is

such a nice guy. How lucky Miss Nash is to have him!"

When Colin returned to the bedroom, Faye was sleeping in bed.

Judging from her rhythmic breathing, she must be asleep already.

Colin put the delicacies on the bedside table and removed the pillow that covered Faye's face. He then

leaned over to kiss her on her forehead and brushed the strands of hair on her cheek.

After a tiring, fun night, Faye was now sleeping like a baby; she didn't perceive what Colin did in the

slightest.

Colin fixed his eyes on Faye for a while before sitting down at the end of the bed. He lifted a corner of

the quilt, revealing Faye's fair and slender ankles.

Some golden bells were tied around her ankle by a red rope, and they kept ringing throughout the

night.

At the thought of last night, Colin felt a knot in his stomach as he swallowed.

Colin gingerly removed the bells, wound them around his wrist, and tied a hard knot.

The three bells were not big, and they were perfectly hidden under his cuff.

When Faye woke up, it was almost noon.

The delicacies on the bedside table had been replaced by a cup of warm milk. Colin leaned against the

headboard with one hand holding the tablet and the other feeling the temperature of the milk from time

to time.

Faye was up for less than one minute, yet she saw him touch the milk glass three times.

Faye opened her mouth, "Colin."

Colin dropped his eyes, smiled, and asked, "Up now?"

Faye answered, "Mm-hmm."

Colin asked, "Are you thirsty?"

Normally, Faye would say yes without hesitation, but as today was Colin's birthday, after giving it a

second thought, she got up trying to get a cup of water for herself.

To her surprise, no sooner did she get up than her shoulder was pressed by Colin.

"Lie back."

Faye uttered, "Today is your birthday."

Colin gently arched his brows and said, "Is there a rule that a birthday guy can't get water for his

woman?"

Faye bit her tongue.

Colin smilingly went out of the bedroom. Soon, he came back with a cup of warm water and handed it

to Faye.

Faye leaned against the headboard and took a sip before saying, "I've ordered a cake for you."

Colin said, "Mm-hmm."

Faye held the cup tightly with both hands and continued, "Today is your birthday. Shall we invite Ethan

and Abbot to have dinner together?"

Colin answered, "Your call."

Faye said, "I'll make a reservation."

Colin smiled wildly and uttered, "Okay."

She made a reservation for dinner at Marriott. As for lunch, they would have it at home.

Cindy prepared a few Italian dishes, and Carlotta made creamy chicken soup for Colin in person.

The atmosphere was harmonious and warm.

Carlotta was not communicative. For fear of saying something disagreeable, she only said "happy

birthday" to Colin with concern when she served the creamy chicken soup.

Colin took the soup and smiled at her sincerely, saying, "Aunt Carlotta, thank you."

With that, Colin said in a voice that was only audible to them two, "Aunt Carlotta, let bygones be

bygones. You're Faye's family, so you're also my family, and I will never give my family the cold

shoulder."

Carlotta's eyes turned red, and she said, "Good, good."

After lunch, Faye got ahold of Abbot and Ethan.

Both of the guys remembered Colin's birthday, so they agreed without hesitation.

Abbot asked suspiciously on the phone, "I called Colin more than a dozen times in the wee hours last

night. Why couldn't I get through?"

Faye uttered without turning a hair, "His phone is out of order. If you want to contact him recently, you

can just call me."

Abbot paused and smiled meaningfully. "Gotcha. I surely do."

Faye was speechless.

Before heading out in the evening, Faye received a message from Tiffany, saying that she wanted to

celebrate Colin's birthday.

Faye didn't reply to it but turned a blind eye to it instead.

On the way, Tiffany called Faye again. The latter put her phone on mute and still ignored it.

According to Lance, ever since Martha appeared, it turned utterly chaotic in the Farrells' Mansion.

On one hand, Blaine claimed to divorce Tiffany.

In order to keep her status as Madam Farrell, Tiffany did everything she could. Without caring about

her image, she blubbered and kept making a scene.

On the other hand, because of the farce, Old Mr. Farrell was so furious. It was said that he had been ill

for four or five days.

Faye couldn't care less about how many troubles they were making.

Such dog-eat-dog tricks were not worthy of sympathy.

However, she would never allow those people to ruin Colin's birthday dinner party.

When they arrived at Marriott, Faye walked into the private room with Colin hand in hand.

After taking a seat, Faye dropped her eyes, took out her phone, and sent a message to a number that

was not on her contract list: [Tiffany seems to have nothing better to do.]
